On another web site someone said that this was CCA a credict collection firm that colects on loans for the Massacusetts Department of Higher Education.

got 2 beeps and the call disconnected

Its CCA calling for overdue student loans. They say they work for the US DEPT OF EDU.

This number and 781-871-8274 are illegal debt collectors who call at any time of the day and on weekends and holidays.  They do not leave messages.  I repaid this student loan 30 years ago and they do this every few years.  The social security office now deducts 10% of my check each month to pay something I do not owe.  There is no way to contact social security office on this matter.  There appears to be no way to stop this.  In addition, they call neighbors and say that I gave them the neighbor's address as my own and leave a message to have me call them if I am "still interested in the credit card application."  It is unbelievable that this can continue.

They called 5 times yesterday ! I answered the 5th , they are looking for my Ex Wife. Told them she hasn't lived here for 10 yrs. Called again just a few minutes ago. I told them she moved out in 2000 and I divorced her in 2001. They said we can't control the number she gave us. No but you can control calling for someone that doesn't live here.

James~ send them the following letter, make sure to state that your ex doesn't live there and hasn't for 10 years. If they don't stop, you can file a complaint with www.ftc.gov.

I received a call from this number, looking for someone with the last name of mine.  The person does not live at my address, but I do know their address!! I tried to call back with this person's info but I needed to unblock my phone number, which I do not feel I have to.
