called this # and says not in service are these people smarter than the phone companies?

Received call at4:18CDT 6 Sep '08.  Answered & no reply. Called back and informed not in service.

I have received a calls from this number MANY times on my mobile phone, today I answered.  It was a man with an African, possibly Nigerian, accent wanting to know if I was willing to sell or rent my timeshare at a premium price.  I told him I wasn't interested.  And then he began to be hostile.  I then asked him to not call my number and to remove me from their calling list.  He started to laugh maniacally.  I said that if I received a call from him or anyone else I would see legal action with the Minnesota Attorney General's office.  At that point he said to me while continuing to laugh, "I laugh in your face!"  I hung up!

We were getting calls from this dumb a$$ too (1-786-347-6129) and I really think it's sad that the only job this low life can get is doing this!!
Don't get mad when this low-life calls!
Just laugh LOL!!! (in his face) LOL!!!
And just know that the paperboy makes more money than this peace of sh_t !!!

Calls my house eery week, asks for my wife, when I ask questions, hangs up

time share calling to let me know if I want to sell it. dont have one

Same MO. Calling my Fiance on her mobile to get her to sell her time share. Annoying to say the least.

Received multiple calls from this number, always around 8AM, never any reply.

786 area code is Miami - a man named Ray called about wanting to buy our timeshare. Not sure where he received our home#, however we don't own one. We had paid for a weekend over 4 years ago with Westgate in Oralando, FL...we did not 'buy' a timeshare. For some reason, we've been added onto a timeshare list and have gotten numerous calls over the past few years. This 786# has called our house numerous times and never leaves a message...today just happened to be a day that we were home and answered. After I hung up, I called the # back and it's a number that is 'not in service'??? Not sure how this can be, being that I called him back within seconds of hanging up.

This guy calls over a million times. I have tried to be very nice but after the 98,000,000 time he called I had to get a little harsh with him and explain that they were calling over and over again and that I didn't want them to call me back for a month or two because I wasn't interested at this time and he kept going on. Finally it took me getting very emotional for him to stop and to let me hang up.  He called again and my father answered our phone and the guy asked if my father was my husband (who by the way passed several years ago) and my father told him that he wasn't and that my husband was deceased. The guy asked again if my dad was my husband and my dad said no. When my dad asked who was calling and if he could take a message the guy said "are you her husband?" my dad said I just told you he was dead and the guy said that he wasn't telling him who he was. My dad said then if you aren't going to tell me who you are then don't bother calling here anymore." The guy said "Fu** Y**" and hung up. I am going to file a complaint with the PSC as well as with the company who owns the telephone number that this guy is calling from Broadwing Communications. Little does he know that I work for the phone company! lol

caller (sounded like an operator) said "please wait" in clear English followed by guy asking for name I could not understand.  I asked him to repeat.  Same result. I said "wrong number" and he began speaking again.  I hung up.

We stayed at a Westgate in Orlando several years ago as well.  Thinking they sold a phone list.  Westgate was bad news.

Called five times in three days.  I was at work, and no messages were left.

Report this guy on the Do Not Call Registry website: donotcall.gov.  If enough people complain, he will be investigated.

Received yet another call from this #. Asked if i was mrs. (blank, which i am not). He then said he was a nephew that had been in Canada for two years.  I told him not to call any more, im sick of it and he was not their nephew, he screamed "HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT, YOU DONT KNOW THAT ".  Well, it was easy Einstein, you dont call your aunt "Mrs." and they have phones in Canada, if you lived there for two years, you could still have called them..........hello   lol lol lol lol lol lol

got two calls from this number on my caller ID.  i signed up for the do not call list online a week ago.  i wonder if it has anything to do with that.  is there a fake do not call website showing up on google?

I have been recieving calls from this number also and just added it to my reject caller list. Called the 786 info for the phone company and they said no one had that number. I told them yes I know..I called it and it said it was out of order so someone was using their numbers and they could pursue it how they wanted. I also have been to westgate. Don't think it is the company, but they have many workers and anyone can pick up your info if they know  how to use a computer, even the cleaning staff. Anyway..a common link. Now that I've added it to my reject caller list I doubt they can get thru. A worthwile feature if you dont have it yet.
