I've gotten calls from these SCAM ARTISTS also. They pretend they the FOP which is nothing more then a lie because they don't call trying to scam people out of their money. It's a shame the phone comapanies don't step up and do something about it.

Reported FOP but nothing but a scam. Find me an address for this turkey...i AM a cop.

Got a call from this guy... very pushy and insistant, which was the first tip off something wasn't kosher.  Asks for the homeowner by first name, then goes into a long speech about asking you to at least hear them out.  Hung up at that point.  Should have figured it was a scammer and told him to jump off a cliff.

It's a F'in solicitor for the FL Fraternal Order of Police  (FL FOP)

This phone number is calling to do fund raising for the Florida State Fraternal Order of Police. I have called the number.  It directs you to a customer service department that can answer questions, help you donate, or anything else related to the FOP. Also, there’s information on floridastatefop.org, you can contact them there with any questions or requests.
The FOP is doing a lot of really great things for Florida police officers and the people that call are trying to help them raise money so they can do even more good.

I guess you must either work for these people or don't have any information on them.  This is a for profit company that has a call center to solicit funds for police, fire or whatever organization.  The important part you failed to tell this website is how much of the money collected is actually given to the firemen or police departments themselves.  It's less than 1%.  As these scammers will tell you it takes money to collect money.  Your are very naive to believe that by calling their Customer Service Department they're going to tell you the truth.  Perhaps you should start investigating this organization before you start recommending them as legitimate.  So if you really want to donate to these organizations do it some other way but don't give these people your money.  By the way I was in journalism for many years and this was one of my favorite investigative pieces every time they started calling in our city.

I called their customer service and aske how much. It actually was way more then 1%. No it was not the whole amount but it was quite a bit more then you seem to think. They also said that with the FOP hiring them to raise funds even the amount they receive from this its way more then they usually get. So maybe you should check YOUR information before you post negative and wrong information. You can check out everything that they do on the website as well.

Getting 2 to 4 calls a day from this number; never leaves a message. When I answer they hang up. Am adding to the CALL BLOCK list on my answering machine

Whoever it is, needs to quit calling.  I refuse to donate money to an organization that doesn't leave a message.  The one time I answered the call, I told the man to remove me from the call list and he said he would call back in a few months to see if I had changed my mind.
