Another Damn marketing scam

When I called the number back, it just said it was the marketing department.  The person was not easy to understand and she would not give me a company name, just listed off a bunch of retailers and tried to confirm i shop there.  When i said I am not paying any shipping or handling on these "giftcards" and "discount cards," she got upset with me.  She was also trying to tell me the actions I was going to take.

This number called me soliciting me to call my Senator on behalf of the Public employees in the State of Wisconsin. Same thing, the message was muddled and horrible and when I called the number back I got an answering machine saying "Marketing Dept." and so on and so forth.

This [***] pisses me off so much. They seem to call at purposefully horrible hours. I had a similar experience with the person saying that I had won a gift, though for some reason she sounded credible (maybe it's because i had just woken up and dashed to the fire escape to take their damn call) until about 5 minutes into the process, at which point I said something along the lines of never call again and hung up. That was over a month ago, and they called this morning.

Why isn't there a govt. , federal, etc hotline / website where these numbers can be reported, investigated, and taken down?

I've gotten calls from this number, some from 646-558-5638 and a couple of others over the last three weeks.  Claiming the same thing...free gas cards being mailed because I used my Visa card at their business, etc.  They can't tell me what business or when.  They won't say where they are either.  I use my Visa for a few monthly expenses, the local Y membership, my Gas bill and Security system, so who sold my info?   Visa claims to not know anything but supposedly started an investigation.  USPS allows you to keep under no obligation anything mailed to you that you did not order.  I told one caller do not send me anything and I refuse to pay for anything I didn't order.  She attempted to tell me I have to call and cancel blah blah, or I would be charged for it.  I told her no I will not as I did not authorize them to mail me jack.  We'll see who wins!!

lady had a dirty accent (couldnt understand what she wanted) i finally got loud with her and said "you listen and i ask the questions" she hung up after that,,

When they called i was upset with a family member that kept calling back to back and I had dropped something in floor of the car and was trying to retrieve it... when i answered i came off with a very loud...  WHAT!!!!!! really in a upset voice..   My daughter and i had a really hard laugh afterward..  Hope this will stop them from calling again.. the girl on the other end of the phone was very quite at first and then started with the sales pitch i hung up.. LOL too bad i didn't have a whistle in hand..

Received a call on my cell phone at 10 pm.  I did not answer the call due to fact it was from Florida.

No msg just a missed call.
