got calls. did not leave a message.

Here we go again, folks.  A man with an accent called on behalf of his boss (couldn't understand the name) and requested a specific IT manager.  He didn't know the reason, but it was his job to connect these two people.  I explained that I cannot transfer calls without that information.  He said he'd obtain it and call back, but my money is on never hearing from him again -- at least not for this company or supervisor.

i just got a call from the same number. a man with an accent asking for me. he sounded strange so I pretended he had the wrong number.

He was calling my boss directly.  I asked his name, he said "Eric Smith" (ok - sure) and when I told him, chances of my boss answering his own phone were small and leaving a message might be the best option, he said he was calling on behalf of (what sounded like) Chad Walls office.  He said he'd gather more information and get back to me.  I'm hoping Switchboard, in the previous comments, has the right idea.    

someone called me from this number in Minneapolis by 9am, did not leave a message, I don't know anybody in Florida, glad I read the other posts, I will block this number.

These guys are running some kind of scam.  They call in and ask to be transferred around (usually to an international extension or number).  Hang up and report them.

A man with a very heavy, Indian accent, saying his name is Dave Johnson asking for our VP, by name. He is calling on behalf of someone else, but has no idea why he's calling. I asked him to find out and call back. He didn't of course.

A lady just call asking for our CTO by name. I told her he wasn't in she said she would call back. I already know this is a telemarketer and they will not get to speak with my boss. I told them to email him, if he is interested, he will get back to them. They still keep calling.

A man from this number has called other area's in the City I work for and asks for me specifically by first and last name.  He never leaves a message when they transfer him to me.  They transferred him to me today, and I answered, and then he told me wrong number and hung up on me.

Very bad connection....asking for the owner is all I could make out and then he hung up.

Caller: Hi. Can I speak to Jane?
Sir, there are more than a thousand employees in this company. I'll need you to give me a full name.
Caller: Jane Frobnitz.
There's no one here by that name.
Caller: That's okay. I'll call again. (Click)

Sure, maybe she'll just magically appear on the roster next time.

Foreign sales call. Got rid of them

Daily calls - several times a day.  Wants a specific person.  Won't leave a voice mail.  Won't stop calling if asked to stop.  Sounds like an Indian accent.  They use men  & women.  The company they represent is CHAT METER.
So tired of these calls.  I'm hanging up on them now.  Got to get this number blocked!!!

Received call, it came in as BK Agencies. Asked for someone in marketing and i put to v/m. reject list.

Based on what I've read here and other sites, I'm glad that I didn't answer the call. It looks like Sim Salabim will have to call someone else from now on.

Received a call at 234 pm from an idiot woman was told me that David Dewick wanted her to call me. She then said that David wanted her to call Neil Johnson. I told her I am not Neil Johnson. She did not know what to say. I hung up at that point.

Calling for someone other than me. Asked to be deleted from their call list.
