I looked this up on another site and it appears to be some sort of spammer

Number just came thru as UNKNOWN NAME and this number. When I picked up, nobody answered.

When this call came into my home phone it also rang at the same time on my cell phone.

no one said anything, just hung up

I received a call about blood thinners and when I said he called the wrong number he called back wanting to talk to me about birth control. I hung up and he called me back I 3rd time and I told the man if he calls me back again I would get him for harassing me.

So the scammer will keep changing scripts until he finds one that works, but none will because they all lead to an advance fee scam. If you are part of a class action you get notified *by paper mail* from a legal team long before the settlement is done and any award payment checks are cut, if ever. You don't get a sudden cold call from some pushy South Asian who wants you to pay a bogus fee to collect your prize.

I've decided that all phone calls, land line or mobile are just another person trying to hoax me, scam me or do something else nefarious to me; therefore my mobile phone is turned off.  I have voice mail (ick) so I can be contacted and I block numbers by default on my land line.  I prefer an electronic communication medium, that way it's written down.

 On 2-24-2014 I received a call from 786-522-2805.  A woman with a accent I could not understand asked for me by name and then began to ask me if I had ever had any surgeries, when I told her "Yes" she asked if I knew the dates.  When I told her "Yes, 1981, " she hung up.

Unknown call that never will leave a  message, Assume it's a telemarketing spammer

My wife has received over 20 calls from this numbers over the last three months they claim to be a company in the health care records business. When I asked to speak to a supposed supervisor at this number he told me that they were working for the government. My suggestion to any one getting a call from this number that no longer wants to receive calls from them is to do the following:

1) contact the company directly and ask to speak to a supervisor when get the supervisor let them know that you want to placed on the DO NOT CALL list and not to be called again by law they are obligated to comply to this request.

2) After you hang up with the supervisor call this number (877) 371-8776 this is the Fraud Department at Global Crossing Communications also know as Level 3. They are the phone company of record and the long distance carrier for the above referenced number. Let them know that you have asked to be removed from their calling list and placed in DO NOT CALL status. They are not going to be able to give you any information about the company but they can and are also obligated to contact them to verify your request has been followed through on. Let them know this "I have a friend who is in the telemarketing business and is a local representative for the ATA (The American Telemarketing Association) and if I receive another call from this number my next call will be to the Federal Trade Commission. That should work

My husband received a call today from a very thick accented guy.  Husband was told that I had a vaginal operation (made up a date/2009) and said he was "calling from the govt" and we are "owed a LOT of money".  I have never in my life had an operation and I have been married to my husband for 25 years ... so he of course figured this to be a total scam.  

My husband had a hard time understanding the caller's accent and the caller actually asked my husband if HE was an AMERICAN!  My husband said that he was and obviously the caller was NOT.  

My husband asked the caller (since he was from the government) to send us the paperwork so that we could look at it --- the caller told him to "Go to Hell" and hung up.  

I called this # back several times to tell them to put me on their do not call list - the recording kept hanging up on me.

I called the number listed under "Joe McDonald" (877) 371-8776 - Fraud Department - they will look into shutting down this number.

Since I'm unemployed when tellamarketers call I have a lot of fun keeping them on the line as long as  possible.  Sometimes I'm hard of hearing and make them keep repeating,  sometimes I'm a child home alone,  sometimes I'm a guest in the home,  sometimes I answer as "Law Office",  and the best one of all tell them they have called into a crime scene and  I need their name and address and phone number because they will have to be interviewed as a suspect.  Lol cheap

This number has called me every day for the past few days, including this morning before 7 am. They never leave a message. The number is apparently from Miami Florida, and I don't know anyone there, so I never pick up.

my phone is on a no call list they call over and over they need to be shut down.

They just called me and said they were from Medical Health Link Central.  I asked them if they knew they were calling a business (as I clearly answered the phone with the business name) and the heavily accented person said "no this is not about business".  At that point I asked to speak to a Supervisor.  The reply was "but why" in an incredibly whiney tone.  I told them it was my right.  They (I say they because I have no idea if it was male or female).  After the 4th but why I explained that they were calling a business, obviously was inarticulate, clearly could not understand English and that I wished to be placed on the do not call list.  At that point the charming representative called me a [***].  i asked "Did you just call me a [***]!  Thanks for making my day.  By the way you should learn to speak English" and I hung up.  A call back to the number placed got no where (of course).
