Gentlemen name Sam Levine phoned me in Seattle WA and claimed that I needed to return his phone call by the next day. When I mentioned it would be a problem to come with $385 to pay for the fee, he said, "Have a good day." And HUNG UP on me! I do not feel that he had my best intersts at heart and will move onto the next person that can give him the $385.

He said my grant would cover 10-30% of my loan and could grant me up to 30K. Asked that I provide a copy of my deed, account statements from my lenders, and $200 up front with the remaining balance of $185 in 15 days.

    ODD!

I received a call from Josh Matthews with American Public Grant Consultants (1-888-576-8451)stating that I had qualified for a grant to help start my business. I was told that after I send in money, along with a disclosure agreement, and a business plan that I would receive a detailed business plan from a grant writer and that I would recieve my grant within 2 mo nths. The guy was very convincing and made the company seem totally legit. I have called Mr. Matthews for the last week, twice a day with no response. I have filed with the BBB and am considering taking further legal action if necessary. Any one else had these problems with these guys?

I also was scammed by Sam Levine, I gave him my $385.00, and now I can't get a call back from him.  APCG is a company that is scamming people out of their money.

Once, a Howard Stellman called me on behalf of Sam Levine who was very rude and also confirmed that I would be receiving a package in the mail, I am still waiting to receive this package.

I was told by Sam Levine to send a cashiers check to a Catherine Freiburghaus, (but I sent a money order instead) and did so, but have not received anything other than a fax that took a week to be sent in its entirety.

My money order was sent to an address in Washington, but they use an answering service to retrieve their calls that located in New York.

Whenever I called, I could never get through to Sam Levine, I always had to leave a message and wait for him to return my call.

Yes, I was also scammed by these guys.  I was told that if I sent in $358 all at one time I would receive my grant check that much sooner.

I should've know better, but was desperate to get some much needed repairs done to my house.

I let Sam Levine know that I was on the verge of losing my house and was disabled, but that didn't stop him from taking my $385.

I also, let him know that I have to wait on disabled transportation to go and get this cashiers check and do all of the running around that was needed, that didn't deter him either.

When I called Sam Levine to inquire as to why I haven't received the package in the mail yet, he kept saying that it was coming and that they hadn't received their tax exempt I.D. # yet, so there was no hurry or deadline and that I was still in good standing to receive grant money.

I also, will report them to the BBB, and I also noticed when looking on the internet that these crooks have several names for their company, they also have changed their website since I first initially contacted them.

These people are heartless and I will be too, when their time comes to be prosecuted.

Sam Levine is the CEO for Corporate Acquisitions Group LLC. a scam valuation company in Colorado, as well as perpetrating fake grant scams.

Sam levine, Barry Adams, Rick Webber, Ty Tymkovich(Corporate Acquisitions Group, LLC), and Marvin "Randy" Hicks(PBS + Alliance Acquisitions) are all part of the same scam system.

They offer clients a “100 percent money back guarantee” that they will find qualified buyers for businesses. When clients tried to claim the refund, they deny the claims.  Sellers are required to pay a designated fee to the scammers for acting as an intermediary with buyers, a designated sum for hiring an independent firm to prepare a valuation of the business that was being sold, and a fee for successfully matching a seller and a buyer.  In order to deny the guaranteed refunds, they provide clients with sham matches. The buyers claim they are qualified but in reality have no interest in purchasing the clients’ businesses.  In order to deny the guaranteed refund, they provide clients with references identifying individuals who were represented as business owners who had sold their businesses through the efforts of the scammers.

I too was scammed out of 385 dollars what can you do? denise from Dover, Delaware

    Well replies to denise
You can report the fraud to your credit card or bank and have them stop payment.

Or, you can take this as a hard lesson that WHEN SOMEONE CALLS YOU PROMISING YOU A BIG GRANT THAT YOU KNOW YOU DON'T DESERVE IF YOU JUST SEND THEM SOME MONEY IT'S A SCAM.

Don't know which government gave you the grant that you are talking about but it is NOT the United States government.
