have received 15 calls so far as of today and this person said his name was Mike Johson for me not to ignore this call it was time sensitive and makeing threat is I don't call back. Have reported this on the do not call registry as a complaint.

I received a call from a "Michael Stephen Davis" with a heavy middle eastern accent. He said there is a company suing me for $500 and they will press charges that can result in felony charges.... REALLY??? He told me to have my attorney call him & when I advised I don't have one, he got upset with me saying I have attitude. He wanted me to confirm personal information including my social... He read a social security number off to me & I advised I will neither confirm nor deny that SSN. He wouldn't give me a specific date for the transaction he said a company was supposedly suing for- advising it goes against some privacy rules. He said my attorney could reach him back at 786-528-3069 x 113

I received twice yesterday a phone call from telephone number 786-528-3069. The person that called said it was from the Department of Justice. That person said that I was sued by a company named America Cash Advance. Sued for a pay day loan. The person called me at work, knows my social security number, name and bank name. I did not confirm any information to that person, but scared me using my personal information
who knows for what. I asked him to send me proof of what his talking about. Never sent anything. Called me twice. Second time I hanged up. The person accent, sound like from middle east, not american. I noticed that immediately. This situation means, that there is no security in the internet. Is easy to pull out personal information and use it for bad things. If that person call me back, I will be force to use the police for investigation.

This is a criminal extortion ring operating out of India. ABC News released an investigative report on it in June. The FTC has indicted one of its ringleaders for criminal fraud:

Received a phone call from this number a little while ago. He had my email, SS#, and bank info. I never confirmed any of this information. He had a heavy middle eastern or east indian accent. He claimed the police would arrive shortly and question me. He said DOJ had several complaints against me for wire fraud, fraudulent checks, providing false info, etc.
He told me I had to be quiet and listen to the list of charges before I responded.
After he read the list I told him his English was very bad and I could not understand a word he said.

He hung up on me. I guess I insulted him.

OMG this is crazy he said the same thing to me. The same exact words that u type he said the same to me. I was like this have to be a scam

This guy actually just called me saying the same exact thing.  I did confirm the information he had though because I was surprised and thought it was real.  Has anything else happened to you all that had the same phone call.  I think I am going to call my lawyer though just because I did confirm these things just incase anything does happen.

Today got this same phone ,this person called him self james brown and knew eveything about me I to didn't confirm 1 thing but he also knew my account # the bad thing is there was several hundred dollars is missing but I did call police it is gonna be under investagation yes it sure is scarey that someone can get account# from a account that is under 3 weeks old

This so called law firm / scam is going down if Amy of you still have threats on you machines the Florida bar association needs to know about this send letters make copies of tapes. I'm putting mine on a tape mr Johnson has broken all types of laws

It is a SCAM, give the caller NO INformation.

Today I received a phone call from a person saying his name is Michael Steven Davis, stating he is a Lawyer from Florida and demanding I pay 585 dollars or I will be suit from cash central. He had an accent of a person from India. Please watch out for these scammers for they are out there.

He called my work and harassed me to the point that I had to call the cops telling.me he loved me and wants to f*** me and all kinds of.inappropriate things. This happed after I called him out on his bull [***] scam that he called a law suit

Same as above, calls multiple times a day said something about Pay Day Loan, I wasn't sure the accent was very thick got upset when I couldn't understand him so he hung up on me. His Para Legal was named James Brown did not get the Lawyers Information but definitely had personal information. I am reporting this to the authorities!

Guy named Michael Johnson called me saying i have 3 counts of fraud against me and I need an attorney, etc.  He had all my info from SS to work info. Thats what made me think it was real. He said im being sued for a payday loan. I cursed him out and he hung up on me, then i called back to go off some more and he said the police department was on their way to arrest me.

I had the same thing happen to me today.  Michael Johnson called me and told me that they had a suit against me for not paying a pay day loan.  He had all my personal information and everything.  I didn't confirm anything and he told me that the sheriff's office would arrest me at work and I would lose my job because of it.  He advised me to get an attorney.  I hung up on him because I know that every payment I have ever made has been on time.  What should I do now though?

Omg this man called & said the exact same thing to me,he threatens me with the police coming to arrest me @ my job & all.i had no idea how he got my # bcuz I just changed it but he had all my info this is scary & needs to stop I don't know what or who this Michael Johnson & James brown r but they need to be arrested for calling & harassing ppl.Its very scary how ppl get ur info now a days

Same call, but they weren't as rude yet with me as they have been with some of you. I've received calls from this number and others saying the same thing. It was payday loans at first and then it turned into the law firm. They started talking back saying "This is not a company, it's a law firm". I was like, whatever, I can't even understand you, this is NOT a law firm.

I told them to remove me from their calling lists but they just change the number they're calling from.
