Last night at 7:24pm we got a call from 786-565-4927, Called ID said "Miami FL." The man left a heavily accented voicemail about "legal concerns" regarding my spouse. Well in America if you want to take legal action, you go to court and file a case and have the person summoned VIA US POSTAL MAIL. Not some scammy phone call at 7:24pm.

Same thing , He said he is calling from US treasury dept - Legal affairs . Expecting a scam I said whats up and he said there was an Arrest warrant in my name and I will be arrested in 48hrs

I hung up - I want to report this somewhere

Man called asking for me by name and said he was from the treasury dept. My mother answered the phone and said not to call it was a fraud and hung up. They called back I answered, said it was a leagal matter and to call the director. Like the director of the treasury dept would call. Hung up on them again.

Woman called from this number, caller ID "Miami". She also had a heavy accent. She said she was from the department of treasury looking for my husband regarding a legal matter. I was half asleep so I just hung up. She called right back and said we were disconnected. Again she was looking for my husband saying there was a legal matter filed against him. I told her there was not. She said she had the paperwork and I didnt. Since I was tired I told her to F off and hung up. I should went along with it, probably wanted a credit card number to clear things up!

Hi James this is Richard Walker with the Department of legal affairs and the US treasury and I was trying to reach you in regards to a very important issue. This is a verbal altercation for you in due to a law in for-cement action that has been started on your end. My number is 786-565-4927 call me at again my number is 787-565-4927. If for any reasons you are to busy to call back I would suggest that you should retain yourself an attorney to do it for you. Instead of delaying getting in touch with us instead of turning this in to a legal issues for you. I hope you will take this right and call me right back again the is Richard Walker with Department of Legal Affairs looking forward to call so until then I hope you have a blessed day.)

IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE A LEGAL CALL WHICH YOU DO NOT HAVE A CALL TYPE FOR. WHICH THIS RICHARD WALKER SAID WE OWED BACK TAXES WHEN I CALLED HIM BACK ON JAMES HAYES THERE IS A SR AND A JR WHICH WAS NOT SPECIFIED HE SAID SR THAT OWNED THE HOME. SO I SPOKE I SAID FOR WHAT HE WOULD NOT SPEAK TO ME  I TOLD HIM MY NAME WAS ON THE DEED AS WELL AS MY HUSBANDS ON THIS PROPERTY SO WHAT TAXES WERE OWED HE HUNG UP ON ME.

Just got this same call earlier today. Sean White looking for margate. Lol. My ex wifes name is Margaret and we've been divorced for 4 years. Told him politely to take my # off his list and that no woman lives there...  He cut me off and asked if I was gay.  Lol  im happily remarried and no I'm not gay.  Seems to me a professional US Treasury office would not ask those questions much less make a call trying to handle a legal matter. Thats for the courts to file. Dumbasses. Oh and did i mention the extremely heavy accent. GFY you scammers. Lol

I got a call from that number at my mother's house yesterday, where they left a message.  He also spoke with a very heavy accent.  He said it was in regards to a legal issue and I may want to get a lawyer to call back as to avoid a "big mess".  Then told me to call him back asap and to have a blessed day!  I hate for these things to happen because there are some folks who would panic and call and give up personal information because they think they're in trouble.

It's a SCAM, do not under any circumstances call them back.

Man with a heavy accent called and said he was with Dept. of Tresury and that I has a legal matter and would be arrested in 3 days, would not give me any more information.

Received the same call described by so many others asking my son to call back the same number and he should retain an attorney. The accent sounded Indian. He returned no such call.

This time it was Dean Walker (must be Richard's brother).  It was difficult to understand him because of the accent and poor connection.  He said he was from the Department of Legal Affairs.  No mention of the treasury.  Otherwise the script was pretty much the same.  He asked for my daughter, who hasn't lived here for 5 years.  By the way, are any of you federal employees?  I wonder because of the recent computer hack where federal employee data was stolen.

I have been receiving calls on my home and cell phone number from a Richard and Dean Walker from the Department of Legal Affairs.  Person is telling me I have an important money legal matter to discuss. It was important that I or my lawyer call them immediately to discuss.  Before this matter gets seriously out of hand.

I did call the number provided.  There is no law firm address and an automated voicemail receiving the call.  This is a scam.  Do not fall for it.

Hi.  Got the same message and I am a Federal employee.

I received a message on my voice mail from a woman (Annie Johnson) stating she was from the Department of Legal Affairs and that there was an open enforcement action against me.  She had a very heavy accent and really couldn't pronounce most of the words.  Said to have my attorney present when calling.  Knew that it wasn't legit, you never get calls on something like this.
