Calling and not leaving any messages. Anoying

I see it says origination Hialeah, Miami, Miami Beach which is the 'area' I live in. Immeadiately before these exxchange numbers a call for Portfolio REcovery comes. So I think they must do a 1-2 so to speak in that you see thier name on call ID then this number comes in with no ID.  A number of other sites I check have nothing on this either. Its a new number being used. More than likely collections scum that just auto dial into the area.

Many calls - no answers - no messages

I received a call two days in a row from this number..  My husband called to see what it was about.  It talks about me filling out something on line regarding something political.  When my husband stayed on the line to leave a message the voice mail was full,

I started receiving the same number, but I don't answer any numbers I don't know. It goes straight to voice message and they don't leave a message. I'm a cop that works in D.C. When I investigated myself for any open bills that what they were calling about for the Hospital Bill Collection I didn't pay in Aug in Miami, FL because I forgot when I moved to D.C. When I talked to the Cashier's Office of the Hospital, She said to send her a hundred dollars a month to help pay down the Bill. While paying a month, you'll still get the hangups as reminders. This is to frighten you to pay your bill. When It gets paid off the Collections Agency will back off I was told.  The Collections Agency that I did the investigation on is called Portfolio Recovery Associates, Inc. http://www.portfoliorecovery.com/about_core_values.php, in i.e. the number we are discussing is an Recovery Agent's Cell Number trying to track you down. The Official Number is 1-888-772-7326 and they are based in Virginia, at this address. 120 Corporate Boulevard Norfolk, VA 23502.

Legally you can't do anything except pay your bill. So find out who you owe a bill to. Sometimes they pose themselves as the company you owe to. Such as the hospital name or gas company.
