Hey I just got a call . Just wondering...Were u on world of watches.com website recently ?

Received numerous calls saying that I was being served a summons and warrant for Fraud on my SS#. Called back and spoke with a very nice gentleman by the name of Mr. Guest who claimed Capital One had sold my account to them for non-payment and that they were collecting on a debt of $1900+. Told him that made no sense, that my account with CO was in good standing and viable. I called back to try and get more information about what account they are referring to - he had NO ACCOUNT INFORMATION to give me, but wanted payment immediately. I spent ten minutes on the phone with him, but he had nothing to offer up except that this was a charge from the year 2000, and that they wanted payment immediately but could work out a plan with me. Told me his firm was O'Connell Greenman and Associates, and that he is not a lawyer but an authorized mediator. I gave him an email address to send the debt authorization to - which I am sure I will have to deactivate at some point now. I smell a serious scam. This place has NO RECORD ON FILE AS EXISTING ANYWHERE ON THE INTERNET.

Received numerous calls from this number to my parents phone  where they proceeded to leave a voicemail telling my parents that they had a warrant for my arrest on two accounts of fraud from Capital one . I got the number from my parents and immediately called them back. where they proceeded to tell me that I had a card in 2002 and had made on time payments until 2008 then just stopped making the payments. I told them that I had never had a capital one card in my life so I have no idea what they were referring to. The lady then stated that she was from O'Connel  Greenman and associates and that if I refused to make payments then she had no choice but to turn me over to the police and they would arrive shortly with a warrant. for my arrest...... WTH??? this is a scam for sure the only odd thing is they had all my information name ss# address and phn numbers ...

Received a message on my answering machine from this number, telling me my Social Security number had been used in fraudulent activity and I would be receiving a summons if I didn't respond. They gave me a case number. I called the number and after numerous rings received a recording that told me to leave my name and number. I didn't. Instead, I filed a Do Not Call complaint. I am debt-free and own no credit cards, so this has to be bogus.

Just received a call from Steven Micheals from OConnel, Greenman & Associates saying I owe Capital One 3,436.27  and I open a acct in 2000 paid until 2006 and I can pay over the phone and legal fees be dropped lol I had 2 charges against me, if so then why would I pay over a phone with no documents take me to court lol SCAM!!!! They committing fraud and harassing ppl and acting like the law so please do not give them no info!

Let's see.  2014 - 2006 = 8 so that makes your debt 8 years old.  Depending on the state you live in, this debt may time barred so they can't do squat to you except for harass you with phone calls.  What they are doing is clearly in violation of the FDCPA and the next time they call you, you can tell them that and that as per the FDCPA, you are demanding proof of debt.  No proof = No pay so no matter what they say or (try to) do, they can't touch you.

This company is calling me and saying I have warrants they have my SS# and information  do not want them to call me

Does any one know if this company has been reported for their fraudulent calls or anything about them?

They are going to have me arrested, they have my SS# for Capitol One.  Really from 1998.  I have filed bankruptcy since then.  SUE ME, you cannot squeeze blood out of a turnip.

I've been getting these for days... I'm wondering if this is a form of Obamacare... I'm with you...WHF! I don't get it either, I went to the suggested site creditkarma, and there's capital one to apply for, no way to go anywhere till you "sign in", BIG NOT!

Same thing here, I'm in South Carolina, been getting these calls for 3 days....and I owed $3000.00, never had a Capital One, and said my social had been breached and would be arrested.... well hell, free health care! I was also told I had 2 charges against me and had given up my rights and would be arrested!

They have called twice, & when I returned the call they wouldn't tell me anything because I was the spouse.  They answered the phone "mediation" & caller ID shows Miami, FL.  We also got a call from a different number in Montana with the exact same voice on the message and case number given and when my husband called them back it was a law firm and they said there was no information on his name, our phone number or the "case number" they gave and it must've been a mistake.  We don't live anywhere near either of these states and have excellent credit.

I received a phone call from them also my parents received phone calls from them stating that I owed them money from Capital One from 2000. I did not own a credit card from capital one then.  Threated to take me to court and that I committed fraud. This is a scam.

FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT KNOW, I HAVE HAD A CAREER WORKING FOR AN ATTORNEY AND YOU "CAN NOT BE NOTIFIED BY PHONE FOR ANYTHING LIKE THAT" That is when you should just hang up.  They SHOULD NOT have your SSN, they say they do and could you verify it for them, PLEASE DO NOT DO THAT.   Capital One is aware of this and claims they are flooded with calls from card holders.  Once I informed them of all this, they hung up on me.  But there are so many of them the recordings still come.  MY BEST SUGGESTION IS TO BLOOK THEIR FAVORITE NUMBER 786-924-0413.  if you check their is a list of different numbers they use but most come from the one I mentioned. Since you can't block them all.  I am checking into some type of petition with the local authorities.  If you check number reverse it will give you the exact location and a map where they are. JUST REMEMBER YOU CAN NOT LEGALLY BE SERVED ANYTHIN BY PHONE, ANYTHING LEGAL NEEDS A SIGNATURE PROVING YOU KNOW YOU WERE SERVED don't loose any sleep over this fraud, at best it is just annoying.

P.S. I keep seeing that they have people SSN. Has anyone asked them to please repeat it to you? Because when I did they tried to bargain by saying, "OK, just give me your last four numbers to verify it," and when I said no way, they hung up. So unless they can tell you your number, I doubt they have it, or to be honest, they could of already used it other ways and would not need to even call you. I would ask next time if you care to bother, again I would just hang up or try to block and keep reporting it. Oh, they called my mobile and my home.

I have recieved 3 phones calls with a womans recorded voice and one with a male recorded voice all saying i have charges filed against me etc etc, also today i recieved a "third and final call" with a "good luck in court" message. Reading what others have posted i find it funny that 1 yr after i was scammed over a capital one ordeal they are doing it again.  I retained an attorney then and capital one themselves helped me out and refunded my scammed money, i am going to call capital one and let them know they are at it again as well as block this number

Well its been 5 days since i blocked these people and they are now calling under the name Cardiac Association with the same recorded message using a different number 603 856 0030 and a different case number, this is so obviously a scam they should be ashamed of themselves.
