Not sure who this call was from. They call like making it sound like someone is being murdered by the urgency that we get back to them.

This number says there is an important business matter to discuss, gives you the number and hangs up.  If it is so important, TALK TO ME.  Calling back, no one answers.  I have told them 3 times to take my number off their register.  So much for the do not call list..

The past three times I've gotten voice mail from them it says "and my number here is 1-800-204-1819".  They don't even identify themselves.

I have been getting these messages, sometimes 2x a day when I return home. I've gotten other collection calls for someone named Larry, this is probably part of it.

Their machine just called me at 4:30pst, I called their number to finally try to end it and there is no pick up..

I don't have caller ID, but is there a way to block these jerks??

When my phone rings "unavailable" I answer and hang up right away. Somehow these people still leave a voicemail!!! They demand a call back on a personal business matter. Does this lady think that by being bitchy to my voicemail she'll get a call back?

This man is unbelievably rude! He is practically yelling into my voicemail demanding that I call back immediately, and then he ends to call saying "and I mean immediately!". What a jerk!
oh and this message was left on my work phone.

Same message on my voicemail as "NS" above.  David Crane called my house and left a number to discuss an "urgent personal mater."  I called back, and the customer service person identified the company as "National Enterprise System" which is a "third party debt collecting agency."  He could not find anyone in the system named "David Crane" and told me that if I receive a call from them again I should ask who they are calling for and if they won't tell me I should ask to speak to their supervisor.

When I called the number back, I was forwarded to ext 2001.  I asked the Nature of their business.  She said 'National Enterprise Systems'.  I said that is the name, What is the nature?  She said that she could answer that as soon as she looked up my information based on my phone number.  Then we were 'disconnected'.  To make matters worse, this was on my cell phone.  What a crock.

Much like the call received by K. Jennings.  I called back immediately as this is the second call like this I have received in the last two months. The operator looked up my phone number and then an alternate number before asking for my social security number.  I declined and provided my name which they could also not locate.  When I explained that I was a law enforcement officer, they hung up immediately, but not before saying that I would be getting more calls. On my cell phone.

We have been receiving the same type of calls 1-2 times daily for the past 4 days. If I'm home I pick up and hang up before they can leave another annoying message. We have no accounts in collections so I'm not even going to bother calling back. I'm going to concact Comcast Digital Voice to see if we can somehow block the number.

Likewise as all above, the David Crane prerecorded call.  Same thing whether it's me live answering or the machine, although I believe there were about half a dozen hangups on the machine before I answered one.  Seems as though a live answer followed by immediate hangup just annoyed them and they're calling more often and now leaving the same message on the machine.  I used to have a feature with GTE that sent all unidentified calls to a robot that required them to give their name before it would ring through at all, giving the choice to answer or ignore without the caller ever knowing whether you answered, and telling them to go away if you chose to.  Bellsouth offfers it in some places but not where I live, and who know what will happen now that it's ATT, whom I hate as though it were the source of all evil ...

This number has called my cell phone the past 4 days in a row.  When I returned the call and asked to be taken off their list, they hung up on me!!  They are still calling.  I don't know how to get them to stop? The recording states the number to call them back on is 1-800-204-1819 - my caller ID always reads "unknown".

UPDATE from above:  the caller is David Grain or Grane not Crane as I originally thought.  National Enterprise Systems is a debt collection agency.  For information on fair debt collection and to report them to the FTC (as I did) visit http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/credit/fdc.shtm

Left message with only phone number and no details, whatsoever.  Not even a name or a company name.  The most annoying part is that the call was 9am Saturday morning!  Perfect example of fraud and harrassment--where are our rights and who is enforcing them?!
