NO CALL LEFT THIS NUMBER ON MY DOOR

Got one this afternoon as well. Said I needed to call my bank (fill in blank - hand written) at hand written note. "Be ready to give your account information." Called my bank, this is not something they did, or would do. Possible phishing scam.

No call either. Left a note in our mailbox with husbands name hand written, not even a working 800number?!! Very suspicious, especially because there was no mail in the box, and it was dated for yesterday which was MLK day. Anyone with info?

This toll free number belongs to Direct Communications, Inc. and is used to test IVR applications. Normally this number is "dead" but as of yesterday (1/20/09) has been used for testing a voice mail application.

Direct Communications, Inc. (DCi) is NOT a bank and is NOT responsible for the aforementioned note/letter that is mentioned above. I would recommend to anyone receiving this letter to ignore it and throw it away. It is apparantly a scam of some sort.

I own a house in another state and this note was left on the door, same thing, preprinted with some handwritten. A bank name and this phone number. I called the number, it is not working. I do not do business with the bank name on the paper.

We got home late this evening and found an index card with this number, my husbands full name and our mortgage holders bank name, the note was stuck at our back door!! we called the number and got no answer or even a ring. Our neighbor saw a man in a white shirt earlier in the afternoon. Don't really understand the scam and from reading all the sites about this they may be getting info from reading your mail?? I guess we will have to wait for another note as I understand it, people have been getting a second card stating to call immediately and have your bank account info, obviously a scam... Give it up.

Sounds like an identity theft scam, they steal your mail and use the card and number as a front. It could be they are casing your property for a later burglary, I have heard that they sometimes take photographs. If you see this person you should call the police immediately.

I was left a package with a partial handwritten note refence A to Z fiancne with this 800-206-7984 number which does nothing and my loan mortage company did not know anything about these peoples??? ATLANTA GA

had a card left on my door with urgent acoss the top. no answer when tried to call. What is this about????

No calls here either.  A man came to the door & rang the bell.  He drove a load Dodge Ram Pickup truck.  Looked like a construction person.  He gave up and left. Left a card on our door with our Mortgage Holders name on it and the same non working phone number.  The card wasnt even a professionally printed piece. Looked homemade.  Very shotty work.

no call just left a peice of plain white paper folded taped to my door with the message inside saying URGENT! please contact us immediately 800-206-7984.  I called the number and it was dead air.  I called the local police and informed them of the incident.

I got the same thing when I got home. I hope he comes back, think my dog may like to meet him!

I just got the same thing with my landlords name handwritten on it. Same as above called thinking there was a problem and no answer or ring. I think they can trace your phone number and get your information. DON"T CALL!!! SCAM!!!!

Not a call. Left note stating, URGENT!PLEASE CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY AT 800-206-7984. No one answered, think I'll give it to the police.

I got the same note, same number. It does not make sense. The only other number is for non profit foreclosure number which is legit. My mortgage is through Wells Fargo. Strange and spooky.

DONT CALL! I recieved this taped to my front door, same as everyone here who called....dead air and no answer...It seems like a ploy to have you call and find your information via your number. NO BANK OR ANY FINANCIAL INSTITUTION would leave a taped anything on your door.
