I've had the same call come in to my cell phone, I peged it for some sort of scam so as soon as I hear it, I delete it. I pay for my minutes, therfore I do not answer ANY incoming call to my cell phone unless I know the person calling. Furthermore, anyone  who stoops to methods of deception will get no response from me.

Same message as above. Found a news story about this BS here http://www.thepittsburghchannel.com/call4action/13842109/detail.html

Don't know whether to call back to demand removal or just ignore it. Been getting a lot of spam e-mail lately, too.

Called to cell phone in 608 (Madison) area code.

I have had this call at my work phone number for about the fourth time now, and I'm getting pretty fed up!! Isn't there something we can do about this company and its unscrupulous tactics? Sure, I can call and register my work phone number, but why can't we STOP these guys!?!?!
    • Caller: Broadcom, supposedly!

Same exact script from my work phone.

Weeks ago I received this message: "Hello, this is Linden Hall with Channel Docs Information at 1-800-210-2731.  I'm calling regarding your credit card balances and the minimum payments that are goin' up. It is imperative that you call me back. You now qualify for the debt reduction allowance program. Again, my name is Linden Hall, and my phone number is (800) 210-2731."

At the very least, you'd think that Broadcom wouldn't want these scammers using their company name this way and would sue for an injunction.  Can't we all tie up their lines by calling and hanging up?

My mom got 2 calls on home answering machine today while she was at work.  She doesn't even have a credit card.  Told her I'll take care of it.

Received a call from this business with the exact script as indicated from other reportings.  I called back only to be hung up on from someone by the name of Jason.  I then spoke to someone claiming to be a supervisor by the name of Lindsey V who continuously said this was not a solicitation call but rather an "offer".  I then reminded her that she was soliciting her so called offers, and she then again said the same thing...not a solicitation.  I am furious.  The call left at my home stating "it is imperative" that I call, left me with a feeling that it was some bad news possibly involving my children.  I have a no-solicitation phone feature that obviously does not work.

I just got this on my cell phone. Good thing we have these postings. I thought it was scam because I normally don't carry a credit card balance. But for those who do, I think they will think it's legit.

Anyway, wonder anything we can do about this type of solicitation?

I called back from a differnent number than the one they had called.  I asked to be removed and the woman said OK it's done and hung up.  I am guessing I will receive another call from this number.

I have had several messages from the supposed "Chanel Docs Information" asking me to call 1-800-210-2731.  I called the # back many times - Upon pressing 1 for removal from calling list, I was hung up on several times by the machine & service reps.  I also waited for "customer service" to speak to reps.  The first rep was a 'supervisor' who was rude & hung up on me.  The 2nd was a lady saying they were a switchboard for several debt reduction companies.  She would not give me any names or info.  I want to find out who is doing this and make sure they are severely punished to the extent of the law!  This is harrassement!!! Does anyone know how to stop it?  I will take action!!
