Calling every day you can't call back, is it a scam?

Calls my brother's home asking for me.  I try to call back and all I get is a fast busy signal.  A case number 2986708 was given.  Another person named Lana Carter called from 800-214-5308 with same case #.  I called back and got vm.  I lm but Lana never called back so I called back until she answered the phone.  I told her to not call my brother back and that she could call me directly on my cell if there actually was a reason.  I haven't heard anything in the last 3 weeks.  Then out of the blue my brother gets another call on his home line - the fast busy signal one AGAIN.  I called Lana since I know they must be same co. since they referred to same case #.  If anyone knows of any other recourse, please advise.

Keep getting calls from this number & no one answers

Keep getting calls...will not leave a message on the machine. I call back to ask not to call anymore, and there's a busy signal!!!

Harassing calls-numerous times and nobody on the line if you answer.  Then there's a recording that says "please hold on while I connect your call" but it connects to a fast busy signal.

Message to them:  Don't call if you can't leave a message.....period!

Creepy voice on answering machine, "May I speak to Mr. and Mrs. (our last name), please?"  Then hangs up.  Our phone rings constantly, all day long, from illegal telemarketers and identity thieves and various other scammers, rendering it almost useless for our private use. The phone companies need to assist with this problem.

I have received 3 calls from these annoying people in the last two hours and no one is there. Tried to call the number back, but of course it is not a working number.  When is the phone company going to step in and stop these calls.

I just had a call from this number on my cell...offering me a new ADT security system free installation. I called ADT and they knew nothing about it. The caller was rude and told me if I did not like I could just hang up....which I did.

People from this number keep calling, each day. They want to sell me a security system, ADT. Sometimes there is no one there. This time heaving breathing.

If you can stop them, that would be amazing.

Getting calls hourly from these idiots . Have yet to answer , but if this keeps up they will get a piece of my mind .

which all called repeatedly; calls all started at the same time.  As others have said: Home security  system if any message is left.

yeah I see from below that it's the home security peeps..they called my cell a billion times I looked up the number like I did here and others said it was the same thing..you tell them not to call and they call back using a different number..hence this is it..the other # they use is 253-246-8514. I have a lawyer and they now have both of these #'s they are using.

They called trying to sell me a security system. I said no thank you & was about to hangup when the guy on the other end pushed "my last button". He said, "Oh, Iʻm sorry... I guess thereʻs no crime for you to worry about in LA (I live in Los Angeles), stupid me!" I couldnʻt hang up the phone... I said, "excuse me? I want to speak to your supervisor right now." Silence... "Connect me to your supervisor right now!" He then hung up. I tried to call back but got the fast-busy signal everyoneʻs talking about here. I tried it a 2nd time & got an automated voice saying that my "call couldnʻt be completed as dialed." Unfortunately, I didnʻt know these guys were clearly some sort of scam until after the call was over & looked up their number. Had I known, I wouldnʻt have allowed them to raise my blood pressure; I just canʻt stand rude people!

Answered to see who was and just kept hearing a "Your Call Is Important To Us! Your Call Is Important To Us!Your Call Is Important To Us! Your Call Is Important To Us !Your Call Is Important To Us! Your Call Is Important To Us! Your Call Is Important To Us! Your Call Is Important To Us!" loop. WTH, you called ME, I didn't call YOU.

this number hyas called my house and cell phone several times a day. sometimes in the middle of the night. i call back and all it does is ring and ring till they answer and hang up again. im tired of this. i hate them calling and hanging up non stop.
