I have been getting messages left on my answering machine for a couple weeks now, I have not called the number back because I cannot hear or understand the person leaving the message.  We get calls all the time like this and they are always for someone else.  They called again last week and my 13 year old son answered the phone (my husband and I were not home at the time).  The caller asked my son to write down the number then paused and said "read me the number back since I know you didn't write it down" then he proceded to yell at my son, told him next time he better let his dad answer the phone and ended the call by telling my son "I'll see your dad later".  My son called me scared to death.  Since that was the last call received we were able to get it off caller id, I called the number back and told them they have the wrong number and not to call back.  My husband call them back and told them not to call our house again.  The man insisted that he got our number from the phone book and that we were listed by they same name as the person he was looking for (first, MI, last name all listed in phone).  We told him he was a liar because we are only listed with first and last name.  We haven't had another call until today.  The same guy has called our house twice, and HAS ALSO CALLED MY HUSBANDS CELL PHONE!!!  I don't know the company/bill collector/whatever he is calling for because he NEVER tells us.  When I asked he avoided the question.  He doesn't give his name either.  I am FURIOUS!! I am going to file a report with the police department (phone company told me that is what I need to do)  I am also going to put a block on the number that shows in caller id.

I have been getting harrassing phone calls from the above listed number and these people will threaten you, too.  I do not know who they are or what they want because they will not reveal any information about themselves or their alleged comp.name.  They yell, scream and keep calling my number back over and over again.  Furthermore, the man and woman are foreigners!!  You can barely understand them and they use "American" names....Mark Taylor (for him) and another name for the woman,etc.  I was informed to call the police to start an investigation.  BEWARE and immediately call the police!!!!!  Do not give out any information to these people and you might want to do what I did>>>> call the police while they are on the phone so that you can possibly have their number traced!!!!

Left unintelligible message on answering machine.  All I could make out was the phone number to call back:  "1-800-214-8742 and they can take care of you there."  Definite India-region accent.

I recieved threatening call(s) from a person who said his name was Jerry Fox, I also recieved call(s) from a person who said his name was Jack Kage or Jack Cage. He sounded like he was from India and when I asked him several times about where he was calling from he said he was in Columbus Ohio. I asked the address and he said "shut up and answer my questions"...I replied and said please use some respect and talk to me like an American....He then said "all Americans are PIGS and very greedy"...I said that I was sorry he felt this way and ended the calll....He then called back 10 seconds later saying he "you gonna be sorry" I have your address as"   " and Im gonna make you very sad....I asked him why he was threatining me and he said cause you are a Fat American that is Greedy and dont pay your bills.....I said I would complain to the FTC...He then asked what is the FTC? I replied The Federal Trade Commission..They regualte these people and will settle your anger easily.

Spoke with a person who said there name was Taylor Johnson, He sounded like he was from India and was very, very angry and threatining. He told me he would make sure I payed in one way or another.

I have been getting calls for the last two weeks.I haven't returned his calls -- something about a debt but in broken english. It sounds like a recording. I don't plan on calling them but will report them to the police. Annoying phone tactics @ usually the same time probably some type of automated redialer and recorded message.. Scum. Sounded like a scam. Is it possible to contact the phone company to have it blocked? or report it to them at least.

I too have been getting the same type of call from the same number by a guy with the same accent.  I have not responded since my family name is never mentioned (that I can understand). I haven't gotten anything in writing regarding a debt, which I would imagine would be a legitimate first step for a reputable agent.

verify your address with the agency .....maybe they are havin ur old address .....

well why dont u jus reply?? and calling 6 times in a day is allowed by the FDCPA unless the debtor picks the phone.....

well yeah allied interstate has a little base in India too....and i agree most of them dont sound like americans...but how does it matter??? U will still be liable to pay off ur debt.....

This company is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. Sloppy record keeping, failure to validate at every level, under-trained, uneducated collectors SEVERELY lacking in Fair Debt Collection Practices Act training.

Intellirisk must be making BIG bucks in collecting because they sure don't spend it to insure they comply with the laws. Student loans with these idiots is a nightmare. Most Allied collector's don't have a clue in handling even the most basic of consumer complaints. Loans that have been paid, in the wrong names and outdated credit bureau reporting are fast targets for lawsuits because Allied is unable or unwilling to respond.

If you receive a collection notice from Allied DISPUTE IT! Even though you will never receive a reply, it is important that you use the law to your advantage. Allied aptly fits the saying; "the right hand hasn't a clue what the left hand is doing" Brain-Dead! Idiots! Untrained!

This company has called my work number NUMBEROUS times. They are looking for someone that used to work here and every time I call back and tell them she does not work here and has not for nearly a year. Today they refused to tell me who they were and where they were calling from or the name of the company. This is the third time they have told me they will remove the number from their records but they don't and they keep calling me. They were super rude to me. I do not care if they are a collections agency they are calling MY personal work line and harassing me for someone else's issue.

I need to find where I can put in a complaint about them.

Excuses, excuses. Follow the law!

We have been getting harassing telphone calls in the middle of the night and day.  We have told them the person they want does not live here and we have never heard of them.
This have been longing on for two months........
We have tried to get this nuber BLOCKED but ATT said they can not block a 800 number.
Does any have the name or address of this company?

This guy said all you need to do is to varify your SSN yeah right why not hand the keys over to your car and what ever else you own because your identity is gone plus if they are going to be calling you and not answer your questions of where they are calling from or they use threats that is illigal and they would be in alot of trouble if they were a ligit business

The company can call as many times a day as they want but if you pick up and they do not aswer that is illigal and if they talk to you they then have to stop calling until the next day same goes for any type of message left weather on the voice mail or with a third party also saying it is in reguards to a debt is illigal no matter weather on a voice mail or to a third party they are only alowed to state it is a debt to the debtor or the debtor's spouse. and in some states that is not allowed
