LaWanda left a message asking for me or my husband by name to call back - she said it was regarding the IRS & wanted to do a survey.
It seems obvious they are phishing.

They want to do a survey about your taxes!! Don't give them any information.

I received a voice mail message from "Tasha" on my direct line at work (a public school). She said she worked for Russell Research and they had been officially contracted by the IRS to conduct an investigation regarding the preparation of our form I990. She said to ask for her (Tasha) and give them the reference number I302106. She said an administrator would need to call.
I gave the message to our CBO. He called the number but realized there was something odd about when they answered "hello" then hung up on him. He did some research and found this website.

The IRS does NOT make calls.
You'd be sent an official letter stating why there is a problem.
I've never heard of the IRS contracting a so-called research firm

I just received a message from David at Russell Research Center...he told me to give id 10228I...regarding our 990 forms...800-217-3098...I am not calling back.

Got a call from David to do a survey about "health." Made an appointment for an hourlong interview in which I would be paid $60. I called to confirm it, and the guy who answered had no clue about me or my appt, and was quite a tool about it.

Got a message on my work phone from Debby (from Russell Reseach) to do a telephone research about "Brand Name". She said she wants my professional opinion and will pay me $50. She told me to mention "Study H" when calling back. Did a google seach on Russel Research and 800-217-3098 and found this web page. Will not call back.

I just got a call from "Pat" at Russel Research asking me to do a survey of our IT services and they would pay me 250 bucks. Total scam.

I was invited to do a focus group from Russle reasearch and they would pay me 400$ to participate. I did think it was a scam but I was wrong. I did it last night for about 2-1/2 hours, when I left they paid in full....

Pat called me as well, it is not a scam....

Elizabeth from Russell Research called our office to do a survey with our administrator.  They will pay $25.00.
We have told them numberous times we are not interested --- they keep calling.

They called while pretending to want new windows from my company, the, they said they are doing this survey on general contractors, I told them I'm not interested, felt very Phishy

I was given a survey on an automatic toothbrush and was paid as promised $25.00.

Someone called me saying that they received a call from this number from a person using my name and business name attempting to solicit tax business and asking for a lot of personal information (which they did not give).  Obviously, I do not want my name and business name associated with any of this.  When I called the number the above number they used to call this person, they answered as ATS Tax.
