Called 4 times the day before payment due, 01 April, 4 times the due day and 4 times the next day. Paid via online bank, checked with my bank after last call and Citifinanical was paid on 02 April. Called the 800-218-4001 and was put on endless hold. Call Cust service with number from loan bill.  Told all OK with autoloan and not sure why I was getting the call, I payment would not even be late until the 10th of April, plus he did not know who 800-218-4001 was or why they was calling. At this point not sure if it was or was not Citifinanical, do that they asked for my SSN.

They've called me daily with no messages left. I am not behind on car loan. I guess they need to keep their eployees busy to justify salaries or accepting money from government.

It is automatic. I have them and am within my 'grace period' but they have called me 4 times so far. It is within their right to do so. They can call up to 9pm. If they threaten you, harass you or is rude to you. Goto http://www.bbb.org/ and report them. It will also tell you your rights as a bill payer on what a collector can and can't do.
Citi Bank has ALWAYS, in my book, been a rude company. But there are some that will work with you.

I get 3 or 4 calls a day from these people; starting at about 6AM! If these calls are any indication about how Citibank does business in general, no wonder they took the tubes!!

i hve had the same problem and its actually against some regulation that businesses can not call before 8:00 am or after 8:00 pm and on federal holidays. next time they do this get the name and number of the person and if it continues you can sue them

I've dealt with these people all the time. It is a compute that calls. It is never a person on the other end. When someone does pick up the computer shuts off and you are talkin with a person.

And yes they will call 5 or 6 times a day as long as you do not pick up. Once they talk with you, they can not call again THAT day.

I am also a Citifinancial Auto Loan customer who is not behind and receiving several calls a day from this number. They do not leave a message.

Are they calling to remind me to pay or something? I don't get it.

CitiFinancial Auto... they do call the day after your payment is due, it's totally asanine.  They want the payment mailed 10-14 days before it's due, but I don't get the statements til a week before it's due.  Then they want to charge you out the ASS to pay by phone or online.  They call my cell numerous times a day and have gotten downright rude threatening legal action when I don't pick up and they actually have to start leaving voice mails.  CitiFinancial can [***], my car loan gets paid every month with or without their calls.

GAl in Ohio, you're wrong on that they can't call again, once they've talked to you, that day.  I received 11 calls one day, and I spoke with someone different 4 times.  I told them it was ridiculous, rude, and harassing, and if it didn't stop, I'd sue.  Now, it's that 800-218-4001 calling.  I made an arrangement with a manger, and they did something different, and told me that he didn't have the ability to do what I agreed to, and I told them that they stole money because I didn't authorize them to draft money from my account for any reason other than what I agreed to.  Their attitude changed at that point.  Extremely nice, fort a bit.  Steer clear of Citi.  If I wasn't disabled and broke, I'd leave that finance company and go through a bank.
