Going through some old credit card statements, I just noticed one identified as "Vesta AT&T Prepaid," and the number is 800-224-7679."  I have no idea what it is, but a Google search brought me to this site. Now I'll have to go through all my statements for the last couple years to see if there were any more.  I used to comb carefully through my statements each month.  You can bet I'm returning to that practice.

Just received my credit card bill with a charge to Vesta AT&T Portland. Couldnt figure out what it was for at first so I googled it. I realized that it was the annual fee I had called in to pay for my Paygo cell phone plan which used to be Cingular but is now AT&T.
    Hope this helps you.

Yes, check your charges even if you do have a go phone AT*T - and check your phone balance charges if you have a pay as you go - I found chareges to my account for 'gaming' - not mine.

Thank you. I just discovered the same curious charge, and google got me to your answer. What at surprise, since I thought the pay as you go phone was a flat $50/ month, with no surcharges.

not likely,, the number for customer service, claims to have you wait for assistance, but just continues to ring... It was my caregiver who noticed the charges on my account.

It's been going on for months, but am limited in my talk to text,, still learning.

    seems like a scam....

Oh yeah.  I just realized that my charge on pay-as-you-go online on AT&T cell phone is being charged.  Why such a stupid name make people confuse.

I found a charge for vesta at&t on my credit card statement.  I called my cc company and they mentioned more charges were coming in from vesta.  I called the phone # listed on my statement for vesta, the only way they could help me was if I gave them my cc # to figure out the charges....I don't think so.  I trust no one.  I still don't know how this happened.  I am disputing the charges with my cc company.  They seemed to understand.

Thanks for the good advice ... I will call to cancel the charge . I paid US$70.00  for one moth service on my number ,
so this charge of US$32.10 is incorrect .
    Thanks

If you have a pre paid phone from att and you put more money into your account using your debit card that's the amount of money you put into the pre paid phone card.

Pulled up my account and saw a pending charge from this company, tried to call the number listed and couldn't get a hold of anyone. Looked it up and see that it's a prepaid phone company? I've been on a contract phone for almost a decade! I called my CC and have them investigating the charge, they cancelled my card and are sending me a new one. I don't know what this company really is, but I did not use my card yesterday, it has never been used for any automatic monthly payments or anything of the like, and I sure as heck didn't order any prepaid phone services!
