This is from Liberty Mutual.  I have an auto and home policy with them (and I like them).  This was an automated call during the early Jan 2011 snow storm with "helpful hints" about driving in the snow.  I would imagine this number is probably only for Liberty Mutual customers and not cold sales calls.

Why, oh why, can't legitimate companies take the extra effort to identify themselves in their caller ID? How much better would "Liberty Mutual" be than "800 Service"?

Liberty Mutual recording, called while I was cooking dinner to inform me that they were calling all New Jersey customers that they were sending extra adjusters out to work during Hurricane Irene.  FABULOUS!  I live in Rhode Island (and have a Massachusetts phone number)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Second automated call in two days reminding of hurricane Irene. Nice of them to call - but I never answer 800 numbers on my cell!

They (LIBERTY MUTUAL) keep calling our HOME landline for a claim filed by our SON who is in school OUT-OF-STATE!  I have to keep answering the phone to TELL them that, not to mention all the personal and business calls they interrupt via call waiting.  DOLTS!  Every time its a different person because it seems the person who was ASSIGNED to handle his claim has more reasons to be OUT of the office than to be 'in' and DOING HER JOB.

ALSO, what is the DEAL with a so-called 'legitimate' company using "UNAVAILABLE" as their CALLER ID moniker?  THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!   If I do business with you - AS IN SEND YOU MONEY ON A REGULAR BASIS, then when YOU CALL ME, you should GIVE ME THE COURTESY of TELLING ME it is YOU via your CALLER ID.

After 34 years of using them, we are getting pretty FED UP and are thinking of SWITCHING COMPANIES.

Claims Dept. at Liberty Mutual regarding auto accident reported yesterday...live person with instructions via voice message left, on having appraisal done for my vehicle.
