Debt collection for Citicard.

A woman called my home phone number and asked me to give a message to a neighbor who lives on the same street as I do. I took the message which was to call Diane Richardson at the number above.  The number she called from is from a nearby town, Marengo, Illinois,  so I thought I would help her out.  But when she gave me an 800 number to call, I thought I would check it out. Obviously, she is a debt collector.  Needless to say, I will not be passing on her message.  Isn't that illegal?

I just received the same call from the same Woman, Diane Richardson, but she told me she was in California.  My caller ID showed me a Detroit phone number.  Something fishy with this one.  She needed to reach a neighbor of mine but their number was disconnected.
