- Mc| 5 repliesThey called my job
- Caller: Windham Professionals
- NancyThey called my husband's office claiming to have a document that needed my attention immediately.
When I later returned the call, they were unable to "pull up my account" by name, so they asked for my Social Security number. I refused to give them that information and made them try my name again. While that was happening, I asked the agent who he worked for (so perhaps I could figure out what he was calling about). He declined to give me that information and became defensive. When I asked him the nature of the business he was calling me about, he declined to answer that except to state it is an educational matter. I have been out of college and grad school for over 20 years and never had a student loan.- Caller: Windham Professionals
- JimSomehow a message was left on my voice mail at work. The person asked for Donald (Not my name) and needed me to call him A.S.A.P. about an important business matter. After reading previous postings I did not call back.

- KiaI was told by my HR lady and employees that a lady named Doris was calling from Windam Professionals harassing them and being rude. The first thing I did was report that company to the BBB.org. They can contact me by phone or mail.

- Missy| 4 repliesHow about this - with a very "authoritive" voice "my name, you need to call me immedialty before the close of business today, otherwise I can not help you with this important business matter" - I do not need any help with my "business" -caller ID pop up as "unknown" - I never have answered unknown numbers, will not be starting now.
- JackieI never answer calls with "Unknown Numbers" or 800 number that I don't know. I just hate being harassed constantly from these unknown companies or people, so I always google the number to see if there are any comments or reports from it. I don't know who this is, but I don't care.
I put my number on the Do Not Call list, but still get non-stop annoying phone calls like this.
CUT IT OUT FREAKS! - NcareyI've gotten calls from this company on my home business line. It was a male name Bill from Windam Professionals and said it was about a wage garnishment matter. He doesn't state what creditor is warranting the garnishment but has an 'authoritative' voice. The call comes from an 'unknown' number. My home business number is transferred to my cell so recently I saw the unknown number and answered with my company's name. He (it was the same caller) asked for the payroll dept. I told him that it was a home based business with no payroll dept and I could I help him. He just asking whether or not the company had a payroll dept. I asked if was soliciting business to offer payroll services hoping he would tell me what it was that he wanted to garnish wages for. I never mentioned his voice mail and he never stated that he was calling to perform wage garnishment.
The number he originally left was a Toll Free number. I don't know why they expect to be given sensitive information when they don't provide what they are calling about.- Caller: Windam Professionals
- metalLIFE| 1 replyI've been getting calls from from a tristan of windham professionals for almost six months now. There has been a number of different tactics he's used to try to talk to me like acting like a friend on a first name basis, saying he's returning a phone call, and the latest came from a Patricia talking about if I don't call her back by noon tomorrow they will garnish my wages. I returned Patricia's phone call with a warning that if these phone calls do not cease I will be contacting the police and filing harassment charges. She responded in a loud voice with a "Good luck sir, I will bother you every hour on the hour!" and promptly hung up. I am wondering what next step I should take. If she goes through with her threat I should definitely have a harassment case.

- Chased by Legalized Sharks replies to Mc| 3 repliesWARNING!!! This Group is well trained and use every method to gain information from you that they will then use against you. If the associate places you on hold chances are you are unknowingly placed you on MUTE. This allows them to monitor your conversation and gain additional information.
Try contacting the NSLP and delay setting up payments as long as you can. It is possible that you can get a lowered payment amount. Do not give financials out. If you are forced to Give very LOW amounts!
They also play Good Cop Bad Cop. Always remain on Guard!

- JJCaller called my mother demanding information about me, telling my mother that she already knew I was deployed and this needed to be taken care of immediately. When my mother inquired as to the reason they needed my information, they clammed up saying that I could check my account online. They gave her this number her name and an email address(which did not work) to pass on to me asap. I called and although they were able to pull up my account by my name, they then asked if my last four were XXXX. They had the right last four. She then told me that their company had purchased my student loans and that they were 90 days delinquent. She told me that I would have to pay $2000.00 now and then a specific amount every month on time in order to keep the delinquency off my credit report or I also had the option to pay off my student loan within 125 days of the date that they purchased my loan.
I called the holder of my student loan who assured my that not only had they not sold my loan, I was paid 6 months in advance.

- spongebob squarepants .. replies to Chased by Legalized Sharks| 4 replies. You people are DEBTORS so stop your complaining and pay your bills your the ones who got yourself into default anyway so suck it up and stop your crying..
- NON-DEBTOR replies to spongebob squarepants ..No! I don't have any debt. The people at one of the credit firms have my name and information mixed with another individual (same first and last name) from another state. On the credit report I have noticed much of her information, I even picked out her SS# along with husband's name, places of employment, previous addresses. I have contacted the credit firm to have this corrected. They say they will but do not. Let them give you detailes, you will learn something.
- ChrisCalled my home and asked for a person I do not know. When I asked what this is about he said if I don't know who they speak of, why do I need to know. I asked if they were a collection agency and he wouldn't answer. Asked me how to get in touch with this person. I then told them to take me out of their database and do not call again. He said he would do that. We'll see...

- frustratedThis company keeps sending unwanted, automated calls asking for a person who does not live at my house. So far it's been impossible to talk to an individual. The message says if you know this person press....
- DeeThey called asking for my husband. She said he "used me as a reference" and I asked where she was calling from. She refused to give me that info and simply said I should ask my husband to call her back soon. I was so pissed off. We don't know what it could be...we don't use credit cards so we owe nothing. My husband got a scholarship for College and so did I so we owe nothing but our mortgage and we're not behind! We're definitely not calling back but she was definitely rude as hell!
- Caller: She REFUSED to tell me!
- Rza replies to angered| 1 replyYou're a debtor in collections you don't get customer service until you pay your bills.
- srtkI just received the same type of call, asking about a reference for someone I don't know. I looked up the number and found all of this info. I have student loans but no delinquencies, and no other debt. I also get erroneous email on occasion, from an address similar to the Department of Education. I called the DOE and found it was a scam. I don't know if this is a coincidence, but I'm reporting them to the DOE and our State Attorney General, just in case.
