"Unknown Caller" leaves message on phone line with unpublished, private number of which is the incorrect number. Caller message identifies himnself to be "Pat Clark" with a "solution to the problem. We have reported the calls daily to the FCC Do Not Call listing to no avail.
 
This caller does not understand that this is the WRONG number and will not stop calling!

This is a recording that refers to himself as "Pat Clark" and says he has an important business matter to discuss. He leaves this number for us to call back.

This "Pat Clark" calls every day with message that says, if you would like to resolve your personal business matter to call this number... 1-800-234-0228. And we're on the DO NOT CALL LIST.  How in the heck do you get rid of this kind of call?  Anyone?

Yes, I too got a call from this number (1-800-234-0228) but I am afraid to call it back.Only because I am thinking we are getting scammed through the telephone. I have also notified the FCC and the other one regarding 2 other phone numbers as well.This one called me this morning at 815am pacific time. Ahhhhhhhh.Nice to sleep in on a Saturday!

Got the same message about "important" information, call Pat Clark. Called and was told to give them my number to make sure they had the right person.  (I have my number blocked for any 800/866, etc. calls.)  I refused stating that I do not give out my number... and how did I know they're not a telemarketing outfit.  She said they were not.  It sounded like phishing to me.  If it's a collection agency, then they have the wrong number as I have no outstanding debts that I'm aware of.  Since it's a brand new number for me, perhaps the person who had it before did have outstanding debts.

I have gotten 2 calls in the last hour from this "Pat Clark" telling me to call this number to resolve a personal business matter. I am concerned because it leaves a message on my voicemail (I don't answer "unavailable" calls). I only have a cell phone and am on the "do not call" list! This is really the first telemarketing/scam call I have gotten using a cell phone.

I got these calls for a couple weeks.  I finally decided to call them and some voice recording said "thanks for calling someone will be with you soon."  The phone then rang for about 20 rings and I hung up.  

I once answered the phone when they called and it immediately disconnected.

This is obviously a prank.  It's not a collection agency.  I'll just call the phone company and have their number blocked if it continues.

They're still at it. I called back and the man that answered wanted me to verify the number they called me on so "he could tell me what important business" they had with me. I wouldn't give it up. He said that in order to take me off their call list he would need it. I asked didn't he have caller ID? Got kinda heated and then he hung up on me.

One way to combat this activity may be to call back and just leave the line open until they hang up. It costs them time and phone charges.

I called the number, and the man who answered said HIS name is Pat Clark (they picked a pseuonym that could be a man or woman). I asked what company he's with, and he said "National Enterprise". Googling that, I see that it's a collection company, www.nes1.com

800-234-0228 "pat clark" if this a for real credit collecter-don't lie-rather stop the calls-use the united states mail service to contact me-asap!

I also received one of these calls. I called back and simply said "I received a vague message from a Pat Clark" and the woman responded "Pat Clark is a recording. We were trying to reach <name>." It was a name that I've never heard before, so I simply said "I know of no one by that name" at which point she said "thank you" and hung up.

This 800 number calls me more then twice a day and I have at least 1-2 messages when I get home from work from a "Pat Clark". They even call early on Saturday mornings! I Finaly called the number back and a recording told me to hang on....well it just kept ringing so I hung up! How do I stop this?

They call almost daily and leave messages.  When I try to call the number back the line is busy. has anybody gotten these calls to stop?

Receive repeated calls unknown business using 555-555-0130, 555-555-0145, 555-555-0190.  On-line research indicates “Pat Clark” for National Enterprise Services [Debt Collection].  If the call is answered, the recording directs to 800-234-0228 which does not answer.  I have received numerous unwarranted calls from this company for months.  I have no accounts nor debts with this company.  They provide no means to request do not call.
The company does not identify themselves nor their phone number. The call is in blatant violation of FDCPA 15 USC 1692. I file each complaint with the FTC Do-Not-Call.
