They have been calling on my cell phone since last week. Their calls distract me. Caller ID said "Toll free".

They keep calling us.  Not every day though.  They leave a message saying.  This Jessica and I have an important message for you please call me at 1-800-248-9590. This is not a sales call.  Press one to talk to us.

Received same calls (from Jessica and Jason) as others have reported with no indication of who they are or what they want.  Finally got one that was a recording saying "AMSHER  COLLECTIONS".  Their recording stated (since my answering machine didn't respond to their request to press one or something like that) that I agreed that I was the person they were calling (they named her and it is NOT me and I do not know her) but I was not at home to answer their stupid recording.  They did leave the phone number and it was the same 800-246-9590 that leaves me a message almost every day.  If you have absolutely no reason for bill collectors to call you, you might want to check your credit report to make sure that someone has not been using your identifying information to open accounts in your name or using your ssn or other info.  You could be a victim of identity theft and this is one way that you could find out about it.

The same message although they call from 205-251-9168 that number first which when looked up comes up as Mr. Kings Furniture or something like that... I refuse to call these people back and they call every single day.. I read here that this is a debt collector??? They never leave a name of who they are looking to reach...  I have not once heard this message is for "Pam" its always the same, generic message from John (that's my guys name never had a woman recording yet)  So I guess it is safe to say this is some sort of telemarketing scam or something?

Called my cell phone today, which I have owned the same number since 2000.  They asked for some Mexican named person.  I told them they had the wrong number.  The girl repeated the question again.  I told her we could go on all day if she continued to ask the same question.  With this,....she hung up.

they called me and left a message to call that number. no other info was given.

i just got back my credit agency statement- i am fine.

I answered the call because I thought it might be my bank telling me my loan was approved.  It turned out to be Amsher.  They wanted to talk to my upstairs neighbor.  They told me they were a receivables company.  

I think they searched for numbers by address.  When you do that on some search engines, you can see numbers for whole apartment buildings or even whole streets.  I think it's a violation of my neighbor's privacy, and an intrusion upon me.  I'm reporting them to the FCC as soon as I figure out how.

First they were calling me upwards of 25 times per day (hello harrassment), I verified this with my cell phone company, so my company changed my number.  When you call it, its a recording, when they leave a message it is a recording.  Now they have begun calling my parents home asking for me, it is really embarrassing.  I have no idea who they are, it does not match any paperwork I have. this is a scam I am sure to get my credit card information.  How do I get them to even stop?

I had several calls from from 1-800-246-9590.  The girl asked for someone named Chris. When I told her he didn't live here, she kept saying, yes he does: I talked to him last week. Eventually, she just hang up.

I got a call, but no message. I called back and the lady asked if I was "Linda." I think it is just a collections agency, and apparently "Linda" owes money because I got several calls about a month ago saying, "This call is for Linda ______, <something about her phone company>...please call back" I called them back and told them it was the wrong number, but I guess that didn't get communicated somehow.

I received the same call message. My credit bureau is spotless so I have no idea who would have sent me to collections. This smacks of some sort of marketing scam.

They keep calling for my husband.  I finally had him call back tonight.  They say we own on a T-Mobile account (we paid off when we stopped our service YEARS ago)
They were very push and still after we insisted to see a statement of some sort the guy got very defensive.  They flat out refuse to send us any info in writing pertaining to this 'debt'.

I heard on the news of this scam.  'Debt' collection companies will buy info lists of past clients (could be from any company, in our case, t-mobile) and call the past clients saying they owe money.  Most people don't remember if they paid the bill or not and are willing to fork over the cash to 'clear the debt'.  

Don't fall for it!

They called me on a Monday. I called them back on Tuesday. Jason asked me for my date of birth. I told him I didn't feel comfortable releasing that information, "I will just keep calling you until you give it to me." I buckled and gave it to him. He said he was looking for someone with the same name but different date of birth.
I thought it was cleared up but I received another call this morning from Jason. I called back (when they call, it is a recorded message telling you to call them. No option to stay on the line for a collector) and spoke to Daniel. He asked me up front if my date of birth was May xx, xxxx. I told him no, that I had cleared this up with Jason on Tuesday and figured we were done. Daniel was nice enough to hang up on me.
I have spotless credit, no outstanding debts. If I hear from them one more time, I am going to report them to the FCC.

I get calls several times a day from this number..They usually start calling early in the morning (8:00 am) and they continue to call all thru the day..I don't know why they are calling me...They leave generic messages that really doesn't give me any type of info..I would like these calls to cease immeadiately.

This Unknown number keeps calling us saying that they have an important
message for us to call them back.  They are saying this in Spanish.
