- Andrew| 3 repliesAnyone called this number back?
- tg| 3 repliesgot a postcard in the mail saying to call them to pick up a package. Odd that I have the same claim number as everybody else in the presort standard category.
Return address is
CLAIM CENTER
PO Box 40848
Charleston SC 29423-0848 - Kash1 replies to tg| 2 repliesI just recieved one in the mail this weekend. claim #N6429. I blocked my phone number and called, it was just a recording since it was Sunday when I called.
- SF| 1 replyI received the same card with the same claim number as well. I am skeptical anytime you receive some piece a mail that is this vague, just throw it away. Remember your parents telling you nothing in life is free? (and nothing is easy) This is most likely a gimmick.
- Jennifer| 4 repliesHmm, I got the same card in the mail today. Same claim number and return address also. I haven't called the number on the card, I'm very wary about it. The return address is Charleston, SC, which is where I live. What about the rest of you?
- Marie| 1 replyOk, so I read all of your messages and I called. It is from a company called "Family Time" and they have either something you ordered (so a lie since I NEVER order anything!) or a "free" gift for you. You have to go to their "showroom" (in Columbia it is near Dutch Square she said) to pick it up. This was after getting no where with the first woman and only speaking to the second woman. Still very vague information. I never gave my name and no one ever said who they were.
- Frank replies to MarieI got the same card in the mail today as well. I remember getting something like this about 4 - 5 months ago, and it was for a showroom that I could win a Shopping Spree and/or Vacation for "simply stopping by". I hung up the phone on the woman I spoke too. This is a scam, throw the card away.
- beaAlso received in the mail today. Always skeptical of something for nothing,i went to Google to check out phone number.Just as i suspected a scam.
- markashenSame here. It's a scam, I live in the Charleston area and I did order some books from Amazon but I'm not dumb. When it doubt, google it! Same claim number as you guys and same 800 number.
- Bill| 1 replyGot the same card with the Charleston SC return address, the 800-249-7827 phone number to call, and Claim #N6429. Pegged it as a scam, Google verified that I was right. Have no intention to call the number. The card went into the shredder to make sure nobody else uses my name and calls the number.
- cma replies to Kash1| 1 replySame here -- same claim number. Same scam, apparently.
Who are these people, anyway? - Missyk replies to BillI got the same postcard this week. I thought it was very funny that it said I had a package to pick up, but didn't give any information of how it was being delivered (post office, UPS, etc.). I called the number out of curiosity and my call was never returned...odd...glad to know I didn't waste any more of my time on this scam!
- AmberHey, i just got the "pick-up-notice" in the mail today..i called the number and was on hold for 5 mins..I hung up. Must be a scam!
- CJ replies to cmaThanks all. It hit the trash can.
- WilliamHello,
