- Jimmy| 1 replyWho is behind 800-252-2107?
- PinkyThis is CBCS, a debt collection agency. They have a creepy guy named Mark Bremer (unsure of correct spelling) that will threaten to call the "marshall" on you if you don't pay your bill. I have told them not to call my number ever again and have sent a statute of limitations letter (since the debt is over six years old) and cease and desist letter to them, but they continue to call. I think it's time to turn them into the State Attorney General's office.

- Pinky replies to JimmyHi Jimmy! I forgot to press 'reply', hope you will get this message. If your debt is older than the statute of limitations (something you should be able to find on a search engine for your particular state) DO NOT pay the bill, it'll start your debt cycle all over again! Also, if they keep bothering you for no reason, you can find a sample 'cease and desist' letter on the internet and fill in your own info on it. I also made copies of everything and sent it to them by RETURN RECEIPT via the US Post Office. That way I have something to back me up if and when this goes to court. Good luck!
- Michelle1-800-252-2107 called me today and started asking who he was talking to, what my address was, and where I live. When I ask who it was, what was the nature of his call, and why he's asking me all this, his response was "it's a matter of business m'am." I ask what kind of business, he replied "okay, if you wanna play this route, write this down with a pen and paper". I hung up thinking who the hell is he not to give me info when he's asking all kinds of questions about me? By the way, he said his name is Mark and he called again for the second time. I ask him why he's being rude and he just raised his voice over mine. WHat an A$$HOL3!!

- Heather| 3 repliesWe get 2-3 calls from 1-800-252-2107 daily but never an actual human on the other end. It's always a recording saying something about "a letter we've sent you." Of course we've never gotten a letter from them because the person we're pretty sure they're calling for has never lived here (we've had the number for six years and get at least one call a week for this idiot, always from collection agencies). We've tried calling the number they leave and just get more recordings (of which we've left several of our own, asking them to remove our number. Doesn't help). Does anyone have an address or anything that a cease and desist letter can be sent to?
- loopegThese people are calling my home. I do not know the person who has a dept pending with them. Please help me find a way to have them stop calling my house.
- AnnoyedI started getting the same calls today, with a recording about a letter sent to me. Sounds like a scam or a misdirected collection effort.

- Pinky replies to HeatherHi, Pinky here! I posted some previous messages above. I sent these creeps a 'cease and desist' letter, but they continue to call. Here's the address I sent the letter to: CBCS, PO Box 1810, Columbus, OH 43216. If they continue to pester you like they have me, even after I sent these letters, I would contact your state's Attorney General's office and press charges against them. Action like this will be the only thing that can stop them and maybe if we all pull together, we can get a class action lawsuit going against them. Good luck!
- TImThese people call about twice a day. Never anything on the other end; just silence. Then I called the number back and got a woman. She identified them as a debt collection agency. I told her what was happening. She asked for my phone number which I was a bit hesitant to give. Normal places would check by your name usually I thought. When I told her, "I'm not comfot..." She cut me off and said thank you, goodbye. Then hung up. We've also been left numerous voice mails about a letter having been sent. What is going on? I'm totally confused because I don't even have any backed up debt to have been reported to a debt collector. I'm ready to call someone or do something to try to stop it. What should I do?

- NAI have asked this place to stop calling even going so far as to say I will sue for harrassment and it does no good. I want to know what good the DoNotCall list is if they will not stop these people from calling. I would change my number, but am afraid they will find out that number, too.

- anonOkay so I have gotten a call from this number 3 times a week for 2 months. Now I know what collectors I owe we hada hard time after our daughter got really sick. This company called for me first and said we owed them money. So I asked them to send a letter and the amount who sent it to collections and all that. Well the guy said to me and I quote " you don't want to play hardball here mrs. Kindle we can take everything you own." So I asked what is the amount that you think I owe. He told me the debt was 315.78. I laughed at him and asked him if he rally thought a judge would give them everything we own for that paltry of a sum. He lost his cool called me some names and then said see you in court. That was 3 years ago. I heard some of these companies are scams they take something that u do owe say it was sent to collections even though it wasn't and you pay cuz u don't want your credit report messed up meanwhile the company you owe is wondering where there money is. Becareful everyone
