these people call from all different numbers... they say it's a "legal matter".  when you ask them for documentation they wont give any (even will hang up) and they want your bank account #'s and social cuz they say you owe money!  FRAUDS!!!
they call me at work.... always some person with a thick accent but a name like 'Bill Smith' or 'John Anderson'.
I think they are calling from London....

Do you even know the name you were assigned to use?  You post as Mark but sign as Mike. Before you post something defending your organization-you really should get your information (and you english) straight.

Anyway,  I am glad you are just letting us know the situation when you leave a message that states "if you do not return my call, charges will be filed, you will be sued for a large dollar amount and your supervisor, manager and employer will be notified of all of the details of the case against you."  If that isn't asking for money, I have no idea what is.

Your company name and at least 4 of the phone numbers you have used have been reported to the FTC for violations of the FDCPA.

Someone named "Bill" left two messages on my work telephone number yesterday evening. The message states he is calling regarding a legal matter for my social security number matching my name. The first message did not leave a return number, the second message did. He called again today, sts he works for a law firm but refuses to provide that information, I advised him to remove my telephone number. He immediatly called back, I answered and told him not to call my work telephone number again, he demanded an alternate contact number, at which I informed him to contact me in writing, and again, not to call my work phone again, and to do so would be in violation of the FCDCP law. I hung-up, he called right back.

Does anyone have the name, address and fax number for the company?  They have called me over 25 times at work today, one call my co-worker answered the call and they gave a detailed message why they were calling.  They gave the name Bill Smith and Patrick.  When I asked that the cease and desist from calling me at work, I was called a jerk and an a**hole who did not take care of her resposibilities and they would continue to call me at work until I was fired from my job.  I asked for the name of the company, address and a fax number and was told they did not have to provide that information unless I had hired an attorney.  I was called into my manager's office because of the excessive phone calls being distracting to the team.  It was suggested that I go home for the day since I could not focus.  My son called me at work to state that someone name Bill has called my home over 10 times in less than 30 minutes.  They have threatened me with arrest at my place of employment and that I would be fired.  They have threatened to have my wages garnished.

If anyone has the contact information on this company, I would greatly appreciate it.  I've already contacted the attorney general and the FTC regarding this matter.  I am on the verge of being fired because of it.

So what's the best way to get rid of them? I have previously reported them. This is the 3rd attack I've had. They're not getting anything from me because I know I don't owe. I have proof. I live with others so they are the ones getting bothered, not me, but I feel bad about that. They let the phone ring & ring and if a message is left, they just delete. Maybe after awhile the crooks will figure out they're not getting anything.

This company is a huge fraud; has been confirmed by Belinda at Christian Nichols and Assoc.  Do not pay them any money; they will run with it and act like you never paid them.  They call constantly and say they are going to press charges against your references; whatever; they couldn't do that if they tried.  I am tired of the threats and harrassment.  Beware of these people; Sam, Peter, Patrick whoever they are today...

I received a phone call from Howard Williams who said that he was from state attorney office of florida the financial infraction division and that he was taking me to court tomorrow at 12:00 if I did not contact please be careful I was already scammed out of $10,000 I did not know better

I understand what you are going through about them calling your job and getting you in trouble it is happening to me right now they called so much I made several mistakes and was called in my manager office telling me I was doing so good and then started making mistakes now I am getting written up over this situation.  I just wish their was something I could do to make this stop

SOMEONE KEEPS CALLING TELLING ME THEY ARE FROM THE STATE ATTORNEYS OFFICE AND THAT THEY HAVE SOME IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ME. WHEN I ASK ABOUT THE INFORMATION, THEY REFUSE TO TELL ME ANYTHING. I received a phone call from "Bill Smith" today at 9:15AM.  Bill repeatedly states he is calling with a law firm, and refuses to provide the name of his company when asked. I advised him again not to call me at work, and that his behavior is harrassing and not in line with Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

I asked for the name of the lawfirm he is employed through and he finally states Morgan & Associates. I told him I would be filing a complaint with my state's AG Office. I asked for the company address, Mr. Smith asked what I needed the address for, and I told him to file a complaint with the AG, he then told me he would not provide that information.

I told him again (see posting above from 9 June) not to contact me at my work telephone number and disconnected the call. I then went to a meeting and was away from my desk. Upon my return I five missed calls from Mr. Bill Smith and one message.

The message was left at 9:21AM,  Bill Smith identified himself states he is calling with a legal matter from cash net, states cash net is suing me for 5,000 dollars with 3 criminal charges and that they were going to for my state taxes. H states I need to get ready for a legal mess. He advised me to return a call to him and to have a good day. He then called back twice at 9:24AM, again at 9:25AM, and finally (so far) at 9:30AM. each time he did not disconnect the call prior to my voicemail initializing. The tone in his VM is very harrassing, and threatening. The constant repetitive phone calls are being made in a harrassing manner which is very deliberate and immediatly after I tell him not to call me at work, and that i am not allowed to receive personal calls at work.

the number i have for them is 850-044-7852. that is what came up on my caller id. They left a message and she said she was from the financial misconduct. I have gotten these calls for the last several years. My attorney said to hang up or just ignor the call. It seems like they change there company name all the time.

I just received a call from "Bill Smith," from 1-800-253-8218.  When I asked
where he was calling from, he put his "superior, Daniel Paige" on the phone.  Mr. Paige was very rude to me when I asked him for his address.  He finally gave me the following information:

I told him to hold on and I looked this phone number up and realized it was a scam.  I told Mr. Paige not to call me anymore.

I havd received over a dozen calls from a "David Kooper" from 1-800-253-8218 and when I asked for a supervisor and I was given "Patrick". I told him that I was going file suit with the FTC and he said go ahead TRY to sue his A** off! He gave me the same address info as above.

I called the Florida Attorney General's office and they said that these people buy out old debt and will try to collect money any way they can from anyone. They will harrass the number they are calling until some one pays.

Don't let them scare you or let them get you mad....I suggest you start a conversation with them about anything, make things up. Let's try annoying them!!!!

get several calls from this number stating a legal matter from the financial infarction office and it is serious. These people call from all kinds of numbers as if they have piggly backed someone else's number for one time I called the caller ID number and it was a golf resort and they knew nothing about what I was talking about.  My attorney is aware and I keep a record of these calls.  Yes they call my job and I even answered stating 'operator this is the call' and they still called back.
