Caller ID said 'Frost Amett Com' but real name is 'Frost - Arnett Copany'.

Only if you ask them not to call. Then they are not allowed to call there any longer.

It becomes illegal to call your place of employment if you have requested ANY debt collector to not call there. BUT, nice language to express you very WRONG reply opinion 'da truth'.

I have been getting the same msgs about "a very important business matter." I called back and they have no record of myself or my phone number??!! Then they tell me to "disregard" the phone calls if I recieve them. I told them it's costing minutes because we only use cell phones with no land-line. They said they would "look into it." That was 2 months ago and I recieve these calls 3-4 times a week! Nice!

I got a call from 713- 963-8818. They left a message and said to call 1-800-264-8818 from Frost Amett Com and they said they wanted to talk to me about a personal business matter. I recieved a letter from them about 1 month ago, and they say they are trying to collect for a hospital debt from 2003. I thought I had paid off all that stuff, so I got a copy of my credit report - all 3 of them. Nothing on them about this account, but they keep calling me trying to get me to give them money.  It sounds fishy to me! Becareful

I recieve calls from both of these numbers about 10-20 times a week, if they can't tell me in the voicemail what it's about, then I'm not going to call them back, and especially after reading what others have experienced, I'm certainly not going to be calling them, besides, they leave voicemails asking for me by my middle name, which I have never used on anything.

    Tired of crap

    My ex just don't care

Yea they are legal. I have an oustanding balance that my ex failed to inform me about to an anathesiast because of my childs surgury got in the past. I called the original creditor and yea i do own them money but because they were sending the bills to my ex and I never got them from her, they were not paid. Now the original office told me that the bill was now with a collection company. So in my situation everything seems correct. Now to deal with a collection agency instead of the medical profissional. How fun.....

Had a message from this "company" left on voice mail for my daughter about a debt.  They had me listed "in care of".  Called them back and they refused to tell me what this was about even though I am responsible for my daughters debts.  They insisted that she call them.I asked to speak with a manager who was conveniently not available. On further investigation I found out that they are a scam and were under investigation because of the numerous complaints about harrassing phone calls. It is a complete waste of time to try to deal with this "company".  If they were legit they would not be so secretive and would be willing to cooperate with the persons they are calling.

make sure you report them YOURSELF.  YOu need to add to the list of complaints.   PLEASE DO THIS AND NOT EXPECT SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT FOR YOU!

Filing official complaints is the ONLY WAY TO STOP ILLEGAL DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES!

    Federal Trade Commission
    Your State Attorney General
if you know what state they are located in - also file with that attorney general.

    I was upset
Some lady named Alba called my phone trying to contact another member of my family.  This rude little wrench did not give me any explination as to why she was calling or anything.  This company should get some training in manners and how to talk to people.

Actually no they wouldn't as a former debt collector (which is what they are) it is VERY VERY ILLEGAL TO TALK ABOUT THE ACCOUNT TO ANYONE BESIDES THE PERSON THAT OWNS THE ACCOUNT!!.......UNLESS you have a power of attroney and are willing to fax them that. Then and only then can they tell you anything regarding the account. If they did tell you the person that is on the account can sue the company for telling you anything without there permisson.People tend to think that something is "fishy" when debt collectors call because of this reason. It's illegal to say why they are calling on voicemails. That's why they say we have a file or a personal bussiness matter. If the person has ever put you on as a reference on anything not just this certain account then they skip-trace and they find you and then you get called. Just being a relative will come up when skip-tracing.NOW if you tell them I will not give this msg to to whomever they are calling for and they do not live with you and they keep calling record it. Then if they keep calling you can sue then for harrassment. If they ever make threats like we are gonna sue you or the ploice are gonna come even if you owe the bill you can sue. But some times it will be in a pre-legal status and then they can say that there is a "possibility" this can be sent to a lawyer. Lines are very thin what a bill collector can can't do.

This is a debt collection company. These people are trying to collect a debt from a hospital that is part of our bluecross network. Blue closs told us they have to accept the amount for there services that is payed under the plan and may not bill us extra. I informed this nasty Alba lady of this and and informed her of our intent to pursue legal remedies. These guys are extortion agents who dream up a bill then harrass people until they pay to get rid of them. DON'T PAY THESE BUTT-HOLES. complain to the state att. generals office.
