Brianne was the agent I spoke with regarding my Citi MasterCard account.  In my notes I have listed: "Twit who repeatedly states the obvious".  Her extension is # 4165

Received another msg from Darcy Osbourne.  Her msg's are a blast to listen to and share with friends.  Her whiny, I really need a boyfriend, tone make her VM's worth posting on You Tube.  Too Funny!  Heck, if you'd like to see for yourself she's at ext. # 3962.  Enjoy.

I recieved a call from Brandon M and that he has my file on his desk and that it is to collect for Amex and he also states the obvious and talks about that you agreed to pay the hole thing when you fell behind in your payments and that it is to be paid off right away and that he constantly says that over and over but not only that I said to him that I want to pay it off but right now I am not able to and he was soooo rude to me that he started to raise his voice and that I have to do that right away or else, he also tries to put you down at any givin point that he is able to, not only that he hung up on me,He also says on a different note that he is trying  to work with you and trying to get this resolved, but is he really, he is doing this for himself and his job but truley trying to work with you ha, so anyways that says much about him. Makes a person question their abilities in establishing rapport..  My file has now been transferred to another person since my last post.  This time around the msg's recv'd state along the lines of: "From the desk of ... ; Your legal reference # is: X" ...  It's as if they are trying to convince me that the file has made it to an attorney (or legal dept).  Guess in time that will clarify itself; until then, I’m far from concerned.

I had similar experience..someone constantly calling me and me avoiding calls.  Then one day I got smart and actually paid my bill.  Guess what the calls stopped.  Then I thought if I hadn't been so careless in the first place I would never have gotten a call and would have nothing to complain about.  So instead of wasting time on blogs why don't you pay your bill you will feel so much better about yourself and not get anymore calls...

you know rumour is right...these people who call are only doing there job because we didn't do our job and keep up with bills.  We are angry and take it out on them..it is hard to be responsible..but it is time..stop wasting time writing on this sight and put a pen to paper and write a cheque and pay the bill....

So if I am to understand they are not a law office as they indicate in their message?  They are a collection agency right? They claim to be the law offices of Ely & Tal Barristers and Soliciters but they don't show up in any Toronto Directiory or on line.

Don't listen to them when they say it's from a law office, if that were true they would contact you by mail with a letterhead from the law office.  They are just saying that to try and intimidate you. Don't fall for it.

No. I won't pay my bill. After a number of months it becomes unfeasible to collect and is written off as a tax deduction by the company.

As for the idea that you finally paid your bill: You gotta be kidding me right? If you could have paid it on time you would have. You finally got a brainstorm and paid a bill you knew you owed as if I slipped your mind?

You write like a snotty 10 year old. A sudden change of heart didn't make you change and payoff any bill.

Bill collectors use intimidation to make you pay. I'm not so easily intimidated. In fact I'm downright scary, so acting like a jack*ss is not going to get you a dime. In fact it will get you a lawsuit and I don't even have to hire the lawyers.

    They are Criminals
Steve - at extension 4238 - called my business and said he was from the Ministry of Labour. He then grilled an employee about a list of confidential payroll information.

On another occasion he had identified himself as a Lawyer.

    They are criminals.

After the calls have gone on for some time and you are unable to pay and they will not except your counter offer start charging them 30 dollars a call for useing your valuable time. Unless they can recognize that your counter offer is the only thing within your budget they are being unfair. You charge the 30 dollars against your honest counter offer and start subtracting from what you owe. Keep a record.

Boy, they saw you coming! Asking to speak to your husband or father was a clue that they are just phishing for info. All they have a phone number and anyone will do! Never volunteer any info to these people. If you pay, the collection agency makes a profit, but the original business you owed money to doesn't get a cent of it. And your credit rating will not improve if it's been affected.

Also, do NOT call them and ask them not to call you.  Once your number registers on their Call Display, you have in fact validated that there IS someone at this number they can continue to harass. And your file is updated with a 'latest contact date' too.

For almost 2 weeks now I have beenreceiving numerous calls from this credit compay. Once Monday last week and once again on that Saturday (at 8:12 am). This past Monday, they called me twice and I spoke to them. Tuesday, another 3 times. Today another 3 times. I have spoken to several people, tried to make an arrangement and have gotten coflicting info from them. Hubby lost his job in May after 13 years. I've been a stay at home mom for over 8 years. I just recently started employment and have other pressing bills to pay at this moment (hydro, etc). This company has been sued for harassment before and lost. Do they really want to continue having lawsuits? Grow up TCR. Most of us do want to pay our debts. It just takes some of us a little longer! Oh, it finally got to the point that I've cursed at them and hung up on them after telling them to stop harassing me.

You obviously work for the company. Also if they call everyday, Cause they are only allowed to call 3x a week by law, file a lawsuit for harassment your credit will not get fixed but the calls stop
