I got an email about movie extra work in my area. I was asked to pay a one time $1.95 fee. Now a month later they have taken out $49.95 from my account. I called boththeir numbers and only got a recording. Watch for emails and anything from this number. I am getting legal counsel.
This happened to me as well. I called the 800-270-7138 and waited for 11 minutes to that recording and finally got an agent. The woman (agent 7010) name Shawna says she cannot refund my money but canceled my account. I'm still pissed about the 49.95 but wanted you all to call and wait and see if you get someone.
They gave me the website h22p:\\secure.hollywoodprofiles.com\ and told me it is in fine print at the bottom. What a scam!!!
also told me their new hours are 8-5 Monday thru Friday and Saturday 8-2.... Good Luck to all of you
Got the same thing...had no phone call, but something online; however, I didn't give them any bank info, yet my bank acct. was debited for $49.95. It is the weekend so I can't call until Monday...really ticked about this...calling BBB to see if they can help. I don't yet know if my bank will reverse the charges...
They don't even keep their 100% satisfaction guarantee. When I called to cancel he said (Kenny #7060) that since I never used it he doesn't see how to satisfy me as a customer. I asked him to give me a refund and he said no.
So I also noticed there was a $49.95 on my bank statement, I didnt know what it was and it over drafted my acnt, so basically I had to pay tHE $49.95 and the over draft fee of $35.00 to get rid of this. I was so pissed. I called and canceled my acnt with them, and I got Kenny (#7060), he tried to offer me a whole bunch of other crap, I tried to get a refund, but he said no.
Had the same thing happen to me. Also looked up at BBB and found a different number to be reached and talked with someone within five minutes of waiting at 800) 264-5122.
My wife and I have called several times and no one picked up. They don't say who they are and they have been charging me for 3+ months. I don't even know how they got my info. What did the BBB say? Seems like some kind of law was broken?
I just rec'd my credit card bill for June and I have 10 charges on there from 3 "companies" I've identified at all 3 associated with Hollywood Profiles (internet search on the phone numbers listed on the bill. I've disputed the charges and Capital One was very helpful. They've changed my card number and sending me papers to dispute. I don't know how the got my card number either. I remembered my husband saying something about an ad in the paper about "extras" in a movie. He called and left his phone number but no one returned his call yet these charges appear. I better check my bank statements too. I didn't get anyone to answer the phone on one number and the other number was disconnected. I want it back too.
This sucks for all of you. But I want to say thanks for sharing because you kept me from giving them my bank info for "$1.95". Hope things work out for you all.
I had authorized a one time charge for $1.95, one month later, I got charged $49.95. I couldn't get a hold of anybody in the company. It's all recording. I got really busy and forgot about this, one month later I got another charge from the same company for $49.95. I called them a few more times and still no live person to talk to. I called my bank and canceled my ATM card, and filed a dispute with the Talent Services through my bank. My bank is now working on it.
I did not get a phone call. I got an E-Mail asking for $1.95.I agreed to that then when I clicked to look for my receipt I had an additional charge for $39.90. There was no order cofirmation or a chance to back out of something that I did order. I immedeatly sent a couple of E mails to some addresses that I found. There has not ben a response since 10 june 2008. Then I looked at my bank statement today (6/25/2008) and there is a further charge for $49.95 from TALENT SVC800-2707138.This is a business outfir that is at least that does business "NOT IN GOOD FAITH", and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
They are a total scam!! I received a spam email from them and then decided to try the "risk free" offer and then a few days later they took $49.95 from my account. What a scam, so I decided to do a full investigation and have posted proof of the scam along with ways to stop them and get your money back.

Exactly same thing happened to me. I am disputing the charge, but they recharge my card again. We have to report the credit card company and police office. This is a type of fraud!!! We get be careful this swindler!
