    Partial voice mail left on my home phone. Robo call, because the recording said something along the lines of "press 1 for more information or 2 to be placed on our do not call list". Since the robot was already running the recording before the voice mail was recorded, I only got part of the message. Fat chance of me ever pressing "2" anyway and confirming my number was a real one!!

    Similar experience here, returned from lunch to a partial voicemail,"for further information, press 9 to be put on our do not call list"  I'm already in the "Do Not Call Registry" so I agree with others, they simply want to confirm the number is real and legitimate.
