guy keep calling and leaves msg's. wanting to talk about "personal business" and "in my best interest to call him bask asap".   WTF number is this??  creepy

This guy keeps calling me who says his name is Derek Matsumara and leaves weird messages that if I don't call him back, I better have my attorney's do it.  It shows up Unknown.

I just received the same call and message, did you call back? do you know what he wants?

From my sister (in another state): "got a strange phone call. The man said <my husband's name> listed me as a reference. So I became friendly with the caller thinking this was about a job. But the man was asking me things about John that were odd, like, does he live in a gated community? What’s his phone number (if this were a reference for a job they would have that info). He asked if you guys were doing okay. I didn’t answer any of the questions. I just told him I did not know who he was and didn’t feel comfortable answering. He gave me a number for John to call but then said he doesn’t have to call. Very weird. He said it concerned a legal matter. Here’s the info: 1-800-280-3800 Kevin Karcher ext 8316"

I picked up a call that had gone to voice message because it sounded like a wrong number and I didn't want the person thinking they'd reached the intended person.

At first he said J (my brother-in-law) listed me as a reference. Then he started asking me strange questions about him such as did he live in a gated community and was he retired. I told the man, Kevin Karcher, that I wasn't comfortable giving out information since I did not know who I was talking to. Then he asked me for his number which I replied "let me have your number and I'll have him contact you." He gave me 1-800-280-3800 and said his name was Kevin Karcher.

Got a call saying that it concerned a business matter from this woman, sounded like she wasn't even from this country.  Woman couldn't pronounce my city, so I assumed that it was a telemarketer, any info on what this is about?

Got a call from this number. The message is: "Hey Anthony, this is Tony. I need you to return my call when you get this message. 800-280-3800 extension 8316. This is not a sales or marketing call. Again, this is Tony A.C.E. 800-280-3800 extension 8316." The call shows up as "unknown".

I have no idea who this person is.

I just got that same exact call today.  Did you find anything out or did u call?

We got the same type of call, but apparently they were trying to reach a guy my husband works with. The guy (calling himself Boggess)(funny sounds like BOGUS!!) told me my husbands co worker had used him as a reference. He didn't ask alot of questions though just said he had been trying to contact him and was unable to. We offered to pass along a message, but when we did my husbands co worker told us to google the number, that is how I got here.

some lady called and was very rude with me, and was yelling at me even, because i asked her what the name of the company was and she said that she could not disclose the information and hung up on me. She gave me the number which was 800-280-3800 ext.2244. after she gave me her number is was then that I asked her company name.

These statements of this phobia and fear of "telemarketer" phone calls are completely rediculous.  The company is a collection agency "A.C.E."  Associated Creditors Exchange.  You are getting the calls for a reason and you know why you are receiving the phone calls, willful evaision of personal financial responsibility.   Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, § 805 Communication in connection with debt collection, it clearly states, (b) COMMUNICATION WITH THIRD PARTIES. Except as provided in section 804, without the prior consent of the consumer given directly to the debt collector, or the ex-press permission of a court of competent jurisdiction, or as reasonably necessary to effectuate a postjudgment judicial remedy, a debt collector may not communicate, in connec-tion with the collection of any debt, with any person other than a consumer, his attorney, a consumer reporting agency if otherwise permitted by law, the creditor, the attorney of the creditor, or the attorney of the debt collector.  
****Hint the individuals that call are abiding by strict State and Federal guidelines that clearly are very cut and dry.

Poor English skills (maybe from India); unprofessional; lots of background noice; stated "last chance" for me or my attorney to call.  Needless to say, I did not even consider returning the call.

they called me and said someone is trying to defraud me and they need to verify my ss# to help me ....

Same old story.  1 800 280 3800 ext. 8315.  I've notified No Call registry.  Got the usual result.

It's just another trick as they are a collection agency.  They harassed my 80 mother.  They lie and cheat to find you.  Don't call back!

Guy called and said that he was an investigator from ACE Investigations and was investing a case and asked me to call to get my "statement".  It is all a lie.  I am going through a BK and can't have creditors call me and he is breaking the law.  Don't be tricked.

got a call today from a lady named ERICA # was 1800-280-3800 ext. 8316.
she said that i had unpaid debit.  i have been going through some ruff times.  is this a fake or is this a reall company (ACE)?
