This number appeared on my cellphone, the caller identified themself as a caller from Citicard.  They failed to leave me their name, what department they were calling and what the call was about.  They left me a message stating my name then an automated message followed telling me to access a message for me using the number they gave me.  I called Citicard and they said that if it were from Citicard, the called would identify themself, leave the message themself (and not an automated message).  They told me to ignore the call and if possible, have it blocked.

Just like MJ who received a message, I too received the same. I have started to check unfamiliar numbers on the web, that is how I ended up here. Thanks for the heads-up.

I, too, received a call from this number.  The recorded message included an access number that was "not in the database."  I was instructed to call another number, but didn't follow up.  Since I'm on the "Do Not Call Registry," I really thought this was a legitimate call from Citicard.  Thanks for the "heads up."

I too have received numerous calls telling me to call this number for an "important message" regarding my Citi card account.  When I called, an automated message told me I owed $85, which I could pay over the phone.  I don't have a Citi account, which Citi confirmed.  The call is a fraud, so watch out!

They have been calling all week and finally left the automated message saying they are Citicards.  It's a scam.  Don't call back.
    • Caller: Not Citicards as they claimed to be

Yep, got the same call today.  I want to know why Citibank has not addressed this?  this site alone noted it close to a year ago???

This past Saturday (Oct 31, 2009) I received about 8 different times from this number. IN ONE DAY! I ended up answering the call on probably the 9th time, and it said the same thing, "This is CitiCards. If this 'Enter name here' please verify that this is your correct zip code." I proceeded to punch in the zip code, and then the automated teller continued with, "Your payment is currently overdue. You currently owe $75.50, you can pay over the phone if you'd like to.." Didn't buy into it, called the "customer service" number they left me, it was a joke. That 1-800 number they left me was a "local dating service." Didn't receive any calls all week until today (Friday Nov 6). Again they called about 8 times throughout the day. Left a message saying it was urgent. Good to know it's a scam! Thanks + hope this helps!!

We are getting calls from this number on a daily basis! I cannot believe the Citi Card has not addressed this intrusion!

This is still going on. Got three calls from them just this weekend,
with three different "personal access number"s, which seemed
suspicious to me. The number does not match any of the "800"
numbers on my CitiCard bill. Sounds like a phishing operation.

p.s. I just called CitiCard's Customer Service to check on my account
(using the number on my bill), and they had *not* robocalled me, so this
is definitely some kind of phishing scam.

We got this call too. It was an automated message to call them and enter a pin number.  I am glad I checked before calling.  I did let citi card know about it but from what I am reading it looks like they are not working on this.  So I blocked the call from my phone.  Thanks for the info!

"Citi Card" called for a David Lynch or something similar, asked him to call back to 800-298-6359 referencing 499082.  They have called me each of the last 3 days.

Same expereince as the other posters here. I found the whole  thing fishy from the start and divulged none of the information requested such as my DOB. Glad to find this site. I hear that the people of Oklahoma enacted a law prohibiting their state courts from considering Shariah law. Should they have made an exemption for scamming cases? I' wonder what Shariah law has to say on that.

Received a message requesting that I call this 1-800 # and enter code 328614. We are exhausted trying to remain secure.

I received multiple calls from this same 1-800 # over the last couple of days with code 8058##. I called CitiCard to see if they had called and they hadn't.  They are probably using this code as a verification method to determine if they found a live person that has a CitiCard so they can further social engineer ways into your account. It reminds me of the fake "Unsubscribe" links in some spam messages which only serve to validate that their spam made it to a target that opens, reads and most importantly clicks on links in emails from sources that they don't know.
I too wonder why this hasn't been shutdown. It's been almost 3 years since this number was first reported...

I got the call.. said I was late on my payment and could save the late fee by paying by phone. Since the amount they said was close to what I thought I owed, and coincidentally, I WAS late on my payment, I ALMOST entered my checking/bank acct info as they asked. But I looked up my bill, it didn't match.. and I hung up. I just checked my phone log via internet.. and for the next hour.. there were numerous local calls made from my phone.. coincidence? or did they somehow access my phone line?
