It was an East Indian-sounding gentleman who was trying to get us to pay on an AllTell account.  We've never had AllTell. He only had my husband's name and a former address which didn't match when we lived there (off by like ... four years).

This is a call from Allied Interstate, a debt collection agency known for trying to harass people over debts they never owed.

They called at 10.34 am; didn't leave message.

They call us 3 times a day.  They ask for my husband, when i tell them he is at Boot Camp they hang up on me

They call me all of the time. I never answer. They recently called and left a voicemail saying they were from my bank and left another number (different from the called ID) and said to call them back immediately, there were questionable charges on my debit card. I went directly to my bank and there were no records of these numbers in their system. Through some due dilligence I found out that it is this bogus company who I do not owe nor will I deal with. I've informed my bank of these scammers.

Indian people from Allied. I called back, the phone never rang, they just started talking as soon as I was done dialing. I didn't bother letting them finish since I had come to this website and knew what to expect, I wanted to verify this. Thank God for sites like this so the public can protect themselves from these leeches.

Called but did not leave message.  Called on my cell phone.  I have to pay for those minutes.

I do not know who this company is but they have called my phone in some cases 15 times in one day. I decided to ask who they are and they stated they are trying to collect a debt. I told them to contact my lawyer because I had no idea who they are.. They did not call me for a while but in the past week it started escalating again to the point of twelve calls in one day.

What should I do?
