- R Shep... replies to MarkI have received three messages from the number 1-800 303 1410, saying I owe a debt. It is a recording and I am told to call this number. Each time I called a woman name Gloria answered with a "Hello," not MCL Financial Systems. When I ask her about the debt, she was ruled and each time when I told her I did not owe a debt, she said, I have another caller and I will get back with you, but she never did. When I contacted MCL Finanial, they told me they would contact her and take care of the situiation but they haven't. She still called after that. Will you guys please make some corrections.

Also, the number she called was my parent's house and I have not lived there for two years so they obviously don't have my cell number. I really don't know if I should call back or not after reading these other posts.

- jr| 3 repliesthese people are known crooks and have no authority. they use the extortion money for human trafficking.
- Susan replies to jr| 2 repliesIf you get a call from a debt collector, like NCO, make sure you write down exactly what they tell you and keep track of all telephone calls. If a debt collector threatens you with a lawsuit, garnishment, arrest, or any other legal action, contact a FDCPA lawyer immediately. When I got threatened by NCO, I contacted Richard Meier (www.meierllc.com) and he got the calls to stop along with a check for $1,000 and it did not cost me anything to get his help.
- DetroitsFinest replies to Susan| 1 replyRichard Meier is a crook and scam artist himself. He should be disbarred. I'll write the above post off as Richy posting under a woman's name, phishing for clients. Pathetic

- Lisa| 1 replyHere's the answer to all our prayers. I found this on a site I posted a telemarketer's number at. I tried it and it WORKS! I put the tones at the beginning of my phone greeting about three months ago and in the last three weeks have had "ZERO" calls. Whover posted that "THANK YOU, THANKI YOU". Here's what I found:
Telemarketers almost exclusively use autodialers to make their calls. One out of a thousand will have live reps doing the dialing. When these dialers connect (you answer the phone) they first listen for any tones generated. If no tones are detected they then transfer the call to one of the reps in a call center. If the autodialer hears the 3 beeps from dialing a "DISCONNECTED" number, the number that was just dialed is automatically "REMOVED" from their list. Below is a link that has this tone plus the verbal message. You DO NOT need the verbal message. Download or copy the "DISCONNECTED" MP3 or WAV file to your desktop. Create or change the greeting you have when someone calls you and you're not available. At the VERY BEGINNING of your message place the 3 tones (NOT THE VOICE MESSAGE) then continue with your usual or normal greeting. The autodialer will hear the tones and BINGO, your number will be removed since they think it's a disconnected number. DONE. In a few weeks you will be removed from all or most of the lists. Of course you may have to explain the tones to the callers you DO want to speak to but that's a small tradeoff. Pass this info on to anyone you know that gets junk calls or even help post this on these websites. If you continue getting calls after reading this, it's your "OWN" fault! END JUNK CALLS.

- BillGot message asking me to call them back. I don't think they want me, probably someone who used to have this number, but I called anyway. I got a recording asking me to hold on to speak to someone then followed by a recording asking me to leave my name and number but then a message saying I couldn't leave a message because their voice mailbox was full! Screw it!
