Received a letter from "Awards Verification Center" with this number. Called it and they wanted to schedule an appointment... Sounds like a time-share thing.

Thanks!I received a letter today saying that I won a new mercedes, bmw, or $40,000 cash....signed Susan Murray from an AVC Travel in Arlington, TX.  It also came with a "boarding voucher" for a cruise.
I didn't bother responding espececially after finding this website.

Received a yellow postcard stating I did not pick up and this was the final attempt.  Please call immediately to 1-800-309-8595.  I had won one of 4 guaranteed prizes: new His & Hers Smart Cars, a Hybrid Toyota or Lexus SUV plus $5000 in free gas or $49,000 cash; or $1500 shopping spree. Exotic Island adventure $806 value or $500 cash.  I had 3 days to call toll free for details of participation and to arrange pick up of my price - CERTAIN RESTRICTIONS APPLY.

yep it's a skam to i called to see what is was about and gave them my number and they wanted to set up an appointment time, and ask was i single or married i thought about and he kept asking questions and i hung up. it's a skam i heard alot of noise in the background

Can you believe it - got a letter this time (last time was a 1-800 phone call).  Has a boarding voucher and electronic passenger/baggage check.  Says Royal Carribean/mexican/Riviera Itinerary.  Came from AVC Travel Disbursement Division 2400 W. Pioneer Pkwy, Suite 210 Arlington, TX 76013 1-800-309-8595 - This scam never ends.  It got shredded.

I got the same thing today.  My first thought was: "4 prizes? They listed 9."

Well, I got the vouchers and same letter you guys did... I did not call, because we all know its a scam.

I received a voucher color blue, and a passenger and baggage check color green, I didn't even waste my time to call them I know is scam.  Why the Better Business Bureau is not doing anything about this scam.  It sound like they have been doing this for long time.  If you have the power to do something please do it. They are using the PH# 800-309-8595 and the address 6321 Blvd 26 Suite 450., North Richland Hills, TX 76180 and the name of the place is AVC Travel Disbursement Division.

Scam is still going on -- same information, awards, phone numbers, etc.  Received this in September 2009

i got the same card but this time its with 49,000 dollars and all the nice new cars and a cruse such a scam

i got the same card its yellow and said call with in the 72 hours it was final attempt and so on num was 1-800-309-8595 dont go i went and found no one ther

scam still circulating 2 yrs later.  received a blue card saying i am an "official" prizewinner of mercedes, bmw porsche or 49,000 cash.  wonder why they dont round it to 50,000 instead.  ohhh wait they are also holding my luxury 4 day cruise for 2!!  and i also get a $1500 shopping spree but it doesnt say to where though.  an exotic island adventure or 500 cash.  wow these are a lot of stuff.   this has SCAM written all over it.

I am pretty sure this is one of those Police Roundups that try to sucker people who have a warrant for their arrest - even for a parking ticket - to get to one big place.  Then they arrest everybody and sort them out later!

Take note of the stupid prize amounts.  I watch Wheel of Fortune :) and know that these are not real.
I wouldn't show up.

Do you actually get the prize as promised?

You think it is too good to be true. So you are right. The only name for it is : SCAM,SCAM, SCAM, SCAM,SCAM,SCAM,SCAM,SCAM,SCAM,....
What I think is worse is that these people have all my info. HOW they get? I don't know....
I see this SCAM is around for quite some time. Thankfull for Google, this site and all of your comments.
Is there anything I can do, like file a complain or something? Where should I go?

Same post card scam again.  But this time they are saying I didnt pickup my package #5701C and to call immediately as this is their FINAL ATTEMPT in red.  The card is yellow and still has the same bogus prize winnings as before.  What is sad is someone out there is falling for it or they wouldnt still be around sending out these bogus scam post cards.  Why arent they investigated or report to authorities?? Why isnt the post master stopping these things for being mass mailed out to people??
