female left me a voice mail message on my work phone from saying that she was giving me last courtesy call back (never spoke to this person and did not identify her company). Caller ID displays 406-351-4172 but she says to call her back at 800-310-2148.

Same thing as above and it does sound like a scam. Called by the 406 # and left a message saying how this is the last courtesy call. Google search led me here. I'm still taking a look around to see where this came from...

I called the better business bureau....no help there without an address.   I also got a call on my cell phone same as the rest of you.  Called them back 9 times, noone would give me an address or manager name.  Tracked the 406 area code to Montana.  Will try BB in that state, or there must be some other governmental agency to complain to.

Also received this call. Filed FCC complaint.

Google Voice transcription of the message:
Hi dice, this is Madison, giving you a call back. We spoke last week on the phone about possibly trying to lower your interest rates in reduce your monthly payments on your credit card. I wanted to let you know that I did find a solution here. We've got a program that can lower those rates to as low as 1.5% and possibly cut your monthly payment in half and since you're only making the minimum payments that should be you. Hey, great opportunity here for you. This will be my last courtesy call, so please give me a ring back today at 1 (800) 310-2148. Again, you can reach me toll free here at 1(800) 310-2148.

I got the same message today from "Madison Smith" on my work phone. Almost the exact same as described above. Asked me to call her at 800-310-2148. Definitely a scam because I have no credit card debt and I certainly didn't talk to her last week.

I recieved a call this morning, telling me that my credit cards interest can be cut in half "just like the rest of the people on her, e complaining about this company",  The number showed up on my caller ID as 406 351 4172/but they tell you to call them back on 800 310 2148, "this of course, is so they can capture your phone number"  all 800 numbers allow them to do that!

Then you find out, they will not answer any of your questions, i.e., "The name of their company", "Where thier locatated at", "Is a supervisor available", "What's their mailing address", and if you try to pursue finding out who they are, or how they got your number, they'll hang up on you!  This happened to me 5 times in a row, AND I RECORDED IT EACH TIME, then when I called back again and told the next girl that I had been hung up asking these questions, she said, "Oh no, we don't hang up on people, right before SHE HUNG UP!
When I called back again to inform them of this wonderful website I had found and that I too was going to add to it, the girl laughed and said, "Well, maybe you just shouldn't call back"....I say, lets turn the tables on them and keep calling them back!  Atleast it will keep their line tied up so they can leave others alone!!!!

Got the same call from "Madison Smith"... I called back A FEW TIMES. Cause I was curious to know what company it was and how they got a hold of my number.

One call I got a very enthusiastic "representative" and asked about those questions as before such as supervisor, website etc... even told them about this website and said i was going to report them. they were cooperative and they said go ahead to report them. that they were just a "franchise" and that's why they didnt have a valid web address etc. however this "madison smith" apparently works for the customer service and calls clients on a list a numbers where apparently this customer service rep building is the 410 number located in montana.. the 800 number is given to us cause its the "enrollment" office. so i'm told

Second call pretended that I never called the number back before and asked who called and what company it was. A different representative who didnt even mention their name this time said something along the lines if i was trying to lower my interest rate. i replied no. then they hung up.

third call i was just furious and blew up and asked the same questions as before. again cooperative and told me the same story about them being a franchise and such and that "madison" really does exist.

I THINK ITS A SCAM. I was a victim of identity theft a few months ago. They probably got a hold of my number somehow... who knows these people could already have information on you and just used this to record your voice somehow even if it was through your voicemail. Just so they could apply for things over the telephone or something. I was told they get the "call list" from banks, credit card companys etc...

OH YEAH... i dont even have any debt or credit card!

    SCAM!!!

I just called the number and they are a debt management company (like CCC) and all they do is enroll credit cards in a debt management program at lower rates (with a high start up fee and monthly fees).  I was told to call by one of our clients because they are answering the phones enrollment center, which is the name of our company - Enrollment Center, Inc.  www.enrollmentcenter.com.  We have no affiliation with this company and will sending them a cease and desist.
