Claims to be Citibank corporate fraud dept.  Legit?

Do you have a CitiBank account?  If so, call the phone number on the back of the card or on the statement.  If you dn't have a CitiBank account you can ignore the call.

Not legit. Card companies do not have a fraud dept direct number. You call the main company line then direct yourself to the fraud dept. Phishing.

Citi Card Fraud Alert. Called the number and had to verify recent purchases. I had not made the purchases. The recording stated that a Fraud Specialist would call me back. I have not received a call back.

legit.  i called the # on the back of my card instead to report the email i received with this phone # and record of my recent charges.  before i could explain to the CS rep why i was calling, she asked me about the exact charges listed in the email and confirmed that the email WAS from CitiBank.  smelled phishy, but turned out not to be.

I verified with the Citibank Fraud Early Detection people that answered the number on the back of the card that 800 315 6215 was indeed from therm.

It's legit. I called and spoke to someone but then hung up because I was suspicious. When I called the number on the back, it was the same lady

stated that they are Canada Revenue Agency & that there is a warrant out for my arrest, due to unpaid taxes
I am an account, so I doubt it.
