- tryingtostayafloatThis number is from Allied Interstate collections. They started off by being nice and trying to work out a payment agreement. When I told them they were not getting my checking account information over the phone they became persistent and rude. They have called my relatives asking that they call me to let me know they would be calling in ten minutes and that I should pick up.They call 3-4 times in a row if you do not answer.

- BarelyhangingonI too am receiving 800-317-8360. They are bottom feeders. Am I right in thinking: The companies that I owed money to have now written off the debt. My 180 days are up. Bottom feeders have bought the debt for a fraction of what I wanted to give the companies in the first place. But, they wouldn't work with me. I feel my debt has been written off fom the original company and that I do not owe these bottom feeders any money. I did not do business with them, They must know that if a person who couldn't pay the original debtor they were taking a chance on collecting a debt that hadn't been paid. Example: If a farmer bought a cow knowing that it couldn't give milk, would he buy it anyway? Thinking it could and didn't. That was a chance he took. Would he still charge the consumer for no milk? Would the consumer pay him anyway? I don't think so. So, before you settle with these bottom feeders -- think again. I do not owe these bottom feeders a cent.

- GThey have called my home 9 times so far today using two numbers...this one and 877-225-1118. They do not speak when I answer. I called the 877 number back...told the representative to mail me anything they may need to contact me about (I owe no one any money) so they then began calling using the 800 number. They asked for me by name but wanted private information about an acquaintance of mine. I don't mind working with anyone if there is a legitamate issue, but don't harass me!!!

- LeducI get several calls EVERY day from this number (ie: today they called at 8:13 am, 10:49 a.m., 12:23 p.m. and 3:29 p.m.) I expect they will call at least once more before the day is over. They do not leave a message and when I answer, they do not speak. I have said "do not call" this number, but they persist.
- LULUCalling my cell phone and I too do not know who these people are, I just ignore the call and let it go to voice mail, if it is important enough they should leave a complete message with detail and I will be the one to choose if I return the call or not.

Mr. Tullar, please inform your Allied Interstate debt collectors not to call consumers representing to be a 'financial institution' as it is false and misleading.
We realize that many collectors belong in an institution, however having a loud mouthed, gum chewing, highly caffinated, debt collector trying to impress me from your collection agency is an insult.

Wall Street Sucks! - Ann replies to JFKThey actually are allowed to call 7 days a week unless you write to them to cease communication (which they will ignore). They have to keep it between 8 am and 9 pm though.
- Ann| 1 replyThey call constantly, even calling numbers that you do not have attached to any account. All are autodialed; I answered twice and got beeped at before they hung up. VM picked up "hey, this is Kimberly...uhh...hello?" and a hangup, and a lot of noise that sounded like a room full of people on the phone before hanging up. Another call tied up my phone all day ringing...thanks for announcing to every lowlife in hearing distance "yooohooo, over here, no one is home..."
I sent a cease communication letter to them, and they promptly ignored it. This week they are getting an intent to sue for TCPA/FDCPA violations for autodialing home phone and calling all phones after a cease letter. I am even faxing the CEO and general counsel as well as sending it certified mail. I will be getting some cha-chingggg.- Caller: Allied Interstate

- WidowHusbandLeftPenniless| 1 replyI've gotten calls from 800-317-8360 and it is a COLLECTION AGENCY. I lost my husband in an auto accident and I'm in the middle of Probate that's been goin' on for two years and maybe longer. They cain't bleed a turnip, I'm about as dry as the next county in the desert. I also have stomach ulcers and cain't get any medical help. I'm too old to be young and too young to be old. So that leaves me purdy much in the middle of gettin' nothin'. I don't deal with 'em. I 1st got a call- did not answer - plugged in the phone number on Google - VIOLA - that's what I thought - it's a COLLECTION AGENCY. I've already programmed my phone and listed it under "Allied Collections" and when they call, I just answer & hang up and save myself ALOT of grief. This old lady just don't have the "ump" to get into a dawg fight with 'em over the phone due to my ulcers. But due to the WONDERFUL postings here you GOOD folks have posted, it sure has helped me heaps of trouble, grief, and painful stomach ulcers from actin' up. I OWE YOU GOOD FOLKS ALOT OF GRATITUDE! What Miss Barelyhanginon posted is most interestin'....these FOLKS HAVE ALREADY BEEN PAID "The companies that I owed money to have now written off the debt. My 180 days are up. Bottom feeders have bought the debt for a fraction of what I wanted to give the companies in the first place. But, they wouldn't work with me. I OWE THAT LADY A HUGE DINNER!!! THANKS FOR THE INFO MS. Barelyhanginon!
