They called with a bogus message about "your mortgage application", trying to get me to call back. I run the phone system at my company, so I searched and found they had called three numbers here [out of 600 or so] in the past month. I called them back, and they asked me to tell them the number they reached me on. I refused, since they are probably collecting good numbers to re-sell. They would identify themselves only as "QCCS - a 'non-profit' organization." I asked: "So I can find information about you on the Internet?" She replied, "I don't know - you can try - thank you, have a nice day." and hung up.
"Kelley from QCCS would like to verify some information in the mortgage application you submitted, want to get started processing you for a 1.25 30year loan"... I'd say this is suggestive of an identity fishing scam.
I RECEIVED THE SAME MESSAGE - KELLY FROM QCCS CALLING ABOUT A MORTGAGE APPLICATION I HAD FILLED OUT. THIS IS BLATENT MISREPRESENTATION AND I AM REGISTERING A COMPLAINT WITH THE PHONE COMPANY & BBB.
I to faced the similar Problem . I keep getting the call from different people from this number. They to sound professional but they are real FAKES. how conrtadictory is that:)
I received the same call from Kelly at CCS and I called the number as well. I asked who are they? They said QCCS a non profit. I asked the message mentioned a mortgage application ... where is this coming from? She mentioned that if I have a current mortgage, I had at one time applied for a mortgage. I mentioned that I was not going to give my name and found the message completely deceptive.
On 8/3/07 I received a voicemail message, at my place of work, saying my loan application was ready for processing, I should call back (Kelly) fast to get a 1% rate, or some other claim. Of course, I'd made no such application. I called back (my employer blocks their number) several times to try to understand who they are and how they can reassure me that they won't call back again. I found out they claim to be QCCS: Quality Care Credit Solutions. They say they are in Fullerton, CA. An 800 number lookup site online lists the 800 number provider as "New Horizons", which I could not confirm as a telecom. service provider. They claim to be a non profit organization. However, their name is not registered with California as a non-profit (http://justice.hdcdojnet.state.ca.us/charitysr/default.asp). Further the man who answers the phone, "Mike", would not give me the CT (State Registration Number) for the nonprofit. Mike went on to emphasize: "I don't have to give you that information." I did mention that I did not understand why I would give him all my information for a loan application without even know his name or organization information. Mike started asking questions about whether or not he was being recorded. He said he was not giving me permission to record him -- how about that -- he's been legally briefed for this scenario! I asked him if he would like to make any comments for me to include in my report to the Office of the Attorney General of the State of California. He said "no." I told him I thought he would be hearing from them. And I told him: "Good luck."
I got the same spin from Kelly. I called twice and some guy hung up on me and told me I sounded ridiculous because I told them they were on a phishing excercise. He stated they must have misdialed my number (business #). When I told him Kelly knew my name and that I had applied for a mortgage and I just needed to call to finalize it, he hung up on me.
I received a call on my work voicemail saying her name was Kelly and she was calling because she had received my application for a mortage for a 1.25 30 year mortgage and she needed to talk to me so we can go ahead and begin processing the application. How bogus is this? Wake up people, you're making fools of yourselves and in a minute you will probably be on 48 hours or something. Their call back number is 800-319-4947
I received a message from Kelly, saying something I didn't understand. I called back because she said it was urgent. A man answered and when I tryed to ask him, he hung up. I called again and when he heared my voice, he hung up again.
On 08/09/07, @ 2137 hrs. EDT, I rec'd a call that on my Caller ID was "unknown caller." However, there was an auto-message left on my answering machine. It was a female voice, tho' she did not ID herself. She said that my mortgage application had been rec'd. I have not submitted any type of mortgage, loan, or other financial apps of any type to anyone, anywhere, in over 5 yrs. She said I was pre-approved for a 1.25/30 yr. program, and that I should call back so they can move my loan into processing ASAP. This is about the 3rd time I've rec'd this message in about 45 days.
Recieved one of these on my voicemail as well, identification as Kelly from QCCS, et al. Proceeded here and am well enough convinced that it's phishing.
Same call for me too... A loan at 1.25% is just too good to be true so probably isn't, now if they had offered it at a competitive rate mebe I would have called back. Anyone who believes these people is probably still waiting for that bank transfer from Africa...
We've received the same call from Kelly, repeatedly. We use called ID and don't answer calls from non-numbers or numbers we don't recognize. She leaves the same message every time, word for word like all of the ones noted here. Today, I'm sending a complaint to the FCC. These calls are getting on my nerves.
I received two voice messages from 'Kelly' on my work voicemail. Same story as mentioned before: urgent call, my mortgage has been approved, etc. I did not call back. Clearly, it's some kind of scam.
