Has anyone else noticed MORE calls since registering on the governments "do not call" list?? I certainly have. My telezapper used to eliminate all computer-dialed calls. Got a few, but not too bad. then they came out with this do not call thing, now I get calls all day and evening. One day I had 17 calls!

It's Verizon, they left a pre-recorded message on our machine this afternoon to contact them or visit their website for offers in our area.

Its verizon.  I just called it back.  They did not answer when i picked up.

It makes you wonder about the purpose of the "Do Not Call List"...to help the people or just to give telemarketers more listings.

800-328-1582, calls at all times of day.  Earliest was 8:45am, good thing I am early riser.  NEVER leaves message!!!!

Yes -- It is indeed Verizon. About past due bill.  All is legitimate. And they are very nice when you speak in person with someone.

Yep... it is Verizon calling to collect past due balance.  Very nice and willing to make arrangements.

Ditched Verizon, doesn't stop them from calling, I just tell them to get lost.

The caller is VERIZON extending a courtesy reminder before you are disconnected.

It's a recording from Verizon asking me to make a bill payment for my high-speed internet

It's verizon, though my bill is paid in full, so I'm not sure why they would be calling me about a past due balance. I logged into my verizon account and it says clear as day that my bill is paid in full. I called the number right back, got a verizon automated person who told me that their offices are closed. Yet they just called me two minutes ago.

It is not verizon. Do not pay attention to the number it is coming from. It is a scam, and I have checked with verizon about it. My pre-recorded message said they were calling about my home internet service, only thing is, verizon is not my internet provider! Do not call the numbers they leave or you will have some serious problems.

I got a call from this number 800-328-1582 today January 11, 2013 at 9:52 am. As I never answer any 800 numbers, no message was left. To my way of thinking, if it's important to reach someone - as people do work -, just leave a message!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, It's Verizon.
I didn't answer, but they left a message that payment was not received by due date.
I only get a deposit once a month, so they'll have to wait a bit longer.
