Hung on them by accident, called right back: "Thank you for calling Omaha Steaks!".  Hope it was a sales call and not someone who sent me steaks - Google sez it's a "redemption center" number.

Saw number on caller ID and sent it to voicemail. Per voicemail left, package from Omaha Steaks is due to arrive. They left customer service number as 866-282-1234.  

Called that number and it is indeed Omaha Steaks. Gave them my number and they had my name and address and confirmed a package is indeed on the way but they wouldn't tell me who it was from.

Hahaha can't believe I have been getting calls from this number for months!  Never picked up because it said Out of area & we don't answer those!  You'd think a big company like that would at least announce themselves appropriately!  My Mom has been sending me a lot of packages from them & i never thought about them calling!

They left a voice mail on my cell, a "package will be arriving..." Since I didn't think anyone who would have my number would also send a gift of steaks, I called them figuring I could at least "chew them out" for making a sales call to me.(And maybe boost an apology gift from them). No such luck, they were sorry for calling a wrong number, but not sorry enough to send me a consolation prize.  :-(

Just a courtesy call from Omaha Steaks to alert me of a perishable item to be delivered.  

Actually, it was a nice touch - informing me a full week prior to an unexpected gift delivery.  This leaves me time to plan to ensure that the items are properly refrigerated (and time to clean out my freezer!).  

Too bad they don't have the ANI set to display "Customer Service" or "Delivery Confirmation."  That way, I wouldn't be so hesitant to answer the call.

They called this morning at 9:05 waking my husband up.  I only picked up the phone to stop it from ringing and then I hung up without listening to their spiel.

Same as eveyone else Omaha informing me of a  perishable gift arriving. Compliments of my Auntie Trish.

I called the number back (CALL CAME IN ON 800-329-6500) 866-282-1234 and spoke to Brian @ Omaha Steaks.  After asking for my address & zip code, he then asked ofr my last & first name.  He confirmed that an item was on the way, but wouldn't "divulge" who it was from due to "privacy issues." He said the sender would be "divulged" when the package arrives and that I would "definitely like what was being sent" to me.

It's definitely not a sales call.  It is Omaha Steaks.  They had problems with my address and that is why they called.  It's a legitimate call.

In the modern era it is very easy to spoof (fake) caller ID. Is the number real? Maybe. Is the caller real? Maybe not. As always, never give out personal/financial information out on a call you did not make. Only to numbers you verified as real.

A legitimate business call. Not a telemarketer -- instead of hanging up they actually left a message -- notification that an Omaha Steak delivery is on its way, with a projected delivery date. Lucky me. Agreed, it would have been nice if the Caller ID had said Omaha Steaks.

Got a similar message from Omaha Steaks.  I knew it was a mistake.  Called the ph# they left &  they confirmed they called the wrong #. Hope the right person gets their package.

Bruiser is right. I was at my parents' house for Christmas dinner and they said we are getting a shipment of Omaha Steaks. They called while I was still away from home but apparently want to make a delivery. They would have better luck if they would change there caller ID.
