These HFC morons keep mailing letters to my grandfather offering him a loan of over $6,000; all HFC requires, apparently, is his signature.  The irony is, my grandfather died over three years ago.

So if HFC is so careless as to offer preapproved, signature-only loans to the dead as well as the living, then HFC deserves whatever financial consequences ensue.

I agree with you "I owe them".  They do the same thing to me.  Then when I finally speak to someone they complain that I hang up on them or are rude.  They should tell us what they want, let us handle our business and be done.

They call, I answer, they don't say anything. If it is Beneficial, I do have an account with those *@#%, but I'm current and the payments are automatic. So I don't know why they keep calling every other day. Wished they'd say something or leave a voice mail.

Calls start at 8:08am and got 12 between then & 9pm - the legal calling times per the FDCPA - BUT within those same laws - they're excessive.  If you manage to get a person, agree to nothing - get their mailing address etc - send them a notorized written statement saying to never call you again.  They have to oblige or be fined heavily by the FTC.  I'm purposely not paying them because they started calling the day after my payment was due.  I don't even get a late fee for 15 days.  I'll pay it the day before the late fee when I hand them the "cease & desist" order in person.  CHEERS!

Simply call your local office.  Do NOT deal with the people that call you.  I've requested to speak with a manager because the caller was rude - even after fulfulling all requirements and being promised I would be transferred the person hung up on me and didn't bother to make the notation on the account.  My local office has been great to deal with.  Note that part of the reason I'm behind is because of the 4 months I was unable to work due to major surgery.  Yes, I had paid for their insurance.  The "insurance" paid for only 10 percent of the premiums for the months disabled.  Also note that they have been fined well over one million dollars for their illegal practices.  Reports to the attorney general are mounting.

I repeat, do NOT deal with the people that call you - call your local office instead.

Can they call you? Sure - if you're behind, they can call.  Shoudl they be calling 50 times a day?  Doesn't seem reasonable to me.  I guess it's time to get a rape whistle and blow it into the phone.  Maybe a blown out eardrum will slow them down.

Again, just call your local office - they are easy to deal with.

I got 31 calls over Saturday and Sunday, and I'm not even 10 days late on my payment.  Great company these idiots run.  Meanwhile, talk about rape (no offense intended), the usurious interest rates they charge make it near impossible to even make a dent in the balance.  Someone should definitely investigate these people...

They called my cell phone - and I NEVER give that number out - and didn't leave a message. What I do with calls like this, I save the number with "DO NOT ANSWER - SPAM" as the caller ID ... so the next time they call, I don't answer. It doesn't seem to be using up my minutes since they hang up either before my voicemail picks up or hang up immediately after VM comes on.
