woman said her name was mrs ford (hard to understand)and that myself or my attorney need to give her a courtesy call back a 1-800-345-3310 with a reference number

Calls started out of the "Blue". JDW

interestingly right after reducing my phone service to the minimum I began recieving calls from this number demanding I call them immediately referring to some phoney number. I have reported them to the "donotcall.gov" site three times now. They don't identify themselves or even state who they are supposed to be calling.

I received a phone this evening(some man) requesting that me or my attorney call him back, this is an urgent matter that needs my attention, left number 1 800 345 3310, also left a reference number for my "file". He said that he would be there until 7:30pm tonight 10/18/07, tried 411.com could not find address or info related to that number.

I rec'd a call from this number. Message left was similar to those mentioned above. Given the background noise, it sounded like a dense call center. They left a case number and a return number.

They called me at work, I am a collector and have been for 8years. They are a collection agency Maryl and Associates, something of that nature. I think they all slur their speech. Anyway, send them a Cease and Desist Letter and they won't call you anymore.

Save your messages when they say anything about an Attorney. Then file a complaint on the Federal Trade Commissions website. Then Send them a copy w/the cease and desist. They won't bother you anymore. Also let them know that you will be contacting the attorney general.

View your rights Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. If they violate nail them to the wall.

This is also a predictive dialer which is illegal in ever state they load the machine you can tell by the voice mail it is not a live person. Report them to the www.ftc.gov for using a predictive dialer


Here is where to send them a Cease and Desist Letter and they won't call you anymore. Make sure and send it registered so they must sign for it and you have a receipt.

They to tryed to call and get information abort my sisterinlaw. It was easy enough to tell that it was a collection agency. if they keep calling you and they dont stop when you ask them to. follow the suggestions above and somthing that i have found to be effective.
if you have access to a computer that has fax capability, send them a fax that states do not call me anymore, and add your phone #. then set the fax up to send it at the middle of the night, and set it to 1000++ times to send. this way, you will bleed dry there fax machine of paper and ink. and render there fax machine useless. even more so if they share the regular Phone number with the fax.  
then do it night after night after night. they will get the message.

calls from this number are being received. No message is left identify caller. Reasons for call in unknown

they called repeatedly and say calls are for my daughter, gave a file number, i did try to call them and they ALWAYS say, not available, call back during business hours.  Also, I called the company to whom she owes money, and they said they do not deal with KB Merrill. So I think this is a total scam. I agree with the other posts that they deliberately slur their speech, hard to understand them.

Repeated vague calls to call with a case number.  When I called it was definitely a collection agency.  I have no collection issues.

Dec. 19,2007, I received a message from this K.B.Merrill today at 1110am on my cell phone, I could not understand the message, I played it back several times,she did not say the company name on my voicemail. When I did call back the company name was slurred. On the voicemail I heard the words "so we may assist you in voluntarily resolving this matter" and a ref. number in a male voice instead of the original female voice. I had the instinct to check this one out, thanks everyone for the warning. There is no reason for a collection agency to be calling me and especially on my cell phone.

I just the same message on my machine with a male voice giving the case number.  I read all of these messages so I wanted to see if I got the same response. I got a person on the phone and the name was given clearly.  I talked to a person and they were looking for my ex mother-in-law from years ago.  They said they took my number out of their systems.  We will see...if I get one more call I will be send a letter and reporting them.  I do like the idea of the fax and may do that too if needed.

This is a really horrible company. They are looking for someone with my same name but different middle initial and have been harrassing me over the telephone for a couple years.  They say they will remove my number but they never do it. When I spoke with the supervisor to clear this up, he hung up on me. They also hung up on my husband several times. They are extremely rude when questioned. We are on the do not call list.

Like the rest of you folks I have recieved over 20 calls from this company seeking my sister, who I have not lived with since we were children. Like the rest of you I also have been hung up on several times and gentleman told me they were not a telemarketer so contacting FTC & attorney general was a waste of my time! (even though he did give me the PO Box to send copy of cease & desist)

Continually receiving calls from a recorded message service stating the following:

Please contact our office at 800-345-3310 so that we may assist you in voluntarily resolving this matter.  When calling reference your file number...

I have no idea who they are calling for or what they want since I just received this phone number a month ago.  They call everyday and leave messages on my answering machine so I have something to listen to when I get home from work.

This company has repeatedly bugged the heck out of me. They appear to be on some type of mission to make people respond to them.  I will not.  Have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and have sent a cease and desist letter
