Got a call from 800-345-6243 - and got a message from someone named Scott with "merchant services" (yeah? which merchant services - generic... ) needed to talk to me about a rate increase on my credit card (yeah? which credit card) and said to call 855-270-7283

I dialed back 800-345-6243 and got a recorded message (same voice as Scott) saying  "The 800 number you have dialed is available in your area. Please call +1 (609) 494-1050"

Didn't bother checking any further as anyone can see this is all a bunch of bogus crap.

Received a call from "Steven" with Merchant Services who wanted to set up an appointment with Bill Nelson to come by and review our statement with us to be sure we understood everything and review our rate hike to be sure we weren't being over charged.  He asked we fax a copy of our statement to a "secure fax number" and for security we could white out the merchant ID.  I too tried calling the number back and got the same message as others.  Steven called next day and said he didn't get my fax and that Bill really needed it to do an internal review before scheduling a meeting.  I told him I wouldn't be faxing anything or taking a meeting.  DON'T SEND THEM ANYTHING!

These people call incessantly!! I'm tired of it. If anyone has a number to reach this company at, I'd like to have it.

Received a call from this number and it was a random lady on the phone.  The first thing she asks me is," Do you guys take credit card over there?"  Really weird.  I answer," I believe so, but that's something you're going to have to discuss with our Accounts Payable."  She said," That's fine." and immediately hangs up on me.  I call back and get an automated message," This 800 number is available in your area.  Please call 609-494-1050 for more information."

This is definitely a bogus number, so please be careful.

This sounds very much like a bunch of crooks who contact businesses saying that they can get them a much better rate on their credit card processing service. Apparently if you sign on to switch to them, they add on huge "hidden" charges that they did not tell you about.

I received a call from Reggie Rayford jst a few moments ago.  Said he was with Merchant Services for CA and AZ.  Said we were having a rate increase in April and that the wanted to send a woman out to speak with us (didn't get her name, sorry).  He couldn't give me a straight answer when I asked him more information and started stumbling over his words.  He gave me the following call back number:

I get these all the time.  Same story as everyone else.  Has anyone reported this to the police or their state rep's?  This guy needs to be shut down.

We get two and three calls everyday from this number and when we pick up the phone no one will answer or the call is disconnected. Really tired of this caller

John from Merchant Services called acting like he was with our current merchant account and if we noticed the increase on our last bill. We said no and he said that's ok because the bill is kind of hard to read, but he could send a rep down to go over it with us. Then he started asking for our gross sales and other info. What a scam.

Me: "hello?"
Unidentified woman: "I need to speak with the merchant Visa Mastercard holder."
Me: (confused pause) "no such person lives here."
Unidentified woman: (silence)

Ask if my company accepted credit cards, I said   "No", the woman hung up.

I get calls to my business every day from this number.  They're a phoney baloney merchant services scam.  I hang up on them.

I have recieved a call from this #, and I have asked them not to call back, and they continue to call.  Can you please help me get them to stop calling?

Got the same call with the same info as everyone -- they wanted me to call to set up a call to inform me I might be eligible for a credit because of the rate increase. So glad I am dialed into this sort of thing being crap/bunk!  NOTE TO EVERYONE: NEVER call them back bc at some point if you do - I heard that they could make a case (after you file a harrasment case) that YOU called them and you'd be on their "list" that you started the contact first - I know it is crazy, but these sort of people have been known to do that to people....

Similar story.  They hung up as soon as I answered.  Didn't try calling back.  I hope I am not in for repeat calls from these guys.

I have gotten all these calls from these odd numbers and recoding some nothing its all bogus. I believe it has com from Facebook!!! if you go into your privacy account and go tothe bottom of that PAGE AND FIND 3 options at the bottom of the page the first one click on and it will take you to all the applications you have downloaded and each and every one of those applicarions have your nu,mber if you have posted it on facebook and all your friends info also. Itas aold that way. Delete them and fast to help minimize your calls!
