- gil| 3 repliesHere is what I found: It's Transaction Networks, Inc.
"Transaction Networks, Inc. is a billing company for the telecommunications industry. TNI sends out invoices on calls that are unable to be billed on the consumer’s regular phone bill."
They have "an unsatisfactory record with the Better Business Bureau due to unanswered complaint(s)."- Caller: Transaction Networks

- LeAnn| 3 repliesI received an invoice with Sprint's logo. I was being billed for local toll services, despite the fact that I have "extended" services so local toll cannot be billed. When I called Sprint, they had no idea who this other company was and I owed no money. This is a phishing scam. The 800 number is not even a Sprint number. Neither Embarq, my provider nor Sprint could find the bill in their system. Report this scam to Sprint or your local provider. DO NOT CONSIDER PAYING THE BILL AS IT IS NOT LEGITIMATE!
- Mike replies to LeAnnDitto your letter except mine was for long distance calls.
- okeedokee replies to LeAnnYes, same idiots billed me. What was funny is that they were charging 2.66 per minute. If they were going to try and trick you don't you think they'd come up with a price that wouldn't make your eyes bulge out of your head?
- Sally| 1 replyI also received a bill today for two calls in the amount of 12.52. I called the customer number and they reduced it to 3.50. I don't have long distance on my phone but i did forget and tried to fax a paper twice one day and then remembered i don't have L.D. When i tried to call the number i got the fax sound and then realized i had tried to use the fax one day. However, how can they bill me for a call that didn't go through? I'm concerned about them sending it to collections.
- Steve C replies to gilThanks for your posting! I rec'd the billing also and now have shredded!
- Steve C replies to LeAnnThanks for you posting! I rec'd the same and will round file it!
- pasqualeI received an invoice from Sprint for a 2 minute phone call made 3 months ago.I traced the call and the receiver was NOT known to any member of my associates using my land line.I called the sprint number and all I get is a recording. Is this a new way to milk the unsuspecting consumer to pay for fear of being reported to a collection agency if not paying as this scammer demands?

- ColleenJust so you all know, this scam is still in business. Got a "Sprint" bill for 2 minutes local "out of network" to a number that when I called it is "not in service." The charge was $2.54 per minute. The billing number listed on the bill is not a Sprint billing number and when I goggled the number today, this is where I landed.
- CW replies to gilThese boggus Sprint bills are still being sent out. Don't pay them! I was charged $5.44 for a call 2 months after the supposed date for a 2 minute local call. I called the number and it answered 'not in service.' The billing inquiry number is not one of Sprints and when I googled it, I found this site.
- coldwar vet replies to Sallyif they send a nonexistent call to collections you have nothing to worry about they have to come up with the proof you made the call. sprint should know what calls you made.
- CharlesWe have just received an invoice for a monthly fee for May related to a telephone number that we did not have before August, at an address that we did not have before July. I am certainly going to enjoy them trying to justify that!!
The next phone call that I am going to make is to the police and the FTC Bureau of Consumer Protection.- Caller: VoiceNet Telephone
- RobatswI rec'd a bill from Sprint for $8.80 in my husband's name. Our home # is in my name. I called 800-349-1923 & was asked to leave my phone #, address, and name and I would be contacted. I wouldn't do it. I called a cust service # for Sprint and was told the bill came from a 3rd party service that bills for Sprint because my phone company directed a call to them. I called my phone company and they knew nothing about it. The phone # shown on the bill was bogus #. I am going to report to the BBB, but they already have many complaints about this. I'm going to report it to the attorney general office. I am not paying the bill.

- Nicetry Multiline SmackoffsI work in the hospitality industry and recently received an invoice for $8.41 that looked bogus from the get go. I get dozens of legit bills on a weekly basis. Like everyone else, I googled the number and got this site. In addition, I also googled Multiline Long Distance and got an Ohio address for a different company. I might be giving them a call letting them know that there is an imposter company trying to rip people off. Let them persue it. I'm not going to waste my time trying to contact some dirty slob wasting away on a couch that can't make ends meet and thinks he's slick. At least answer and try to justify your redonkulous invoices so I can give you an earfull and get some pleasure out of making you squirm. P.S. We didn't even make any calls to that #. On the invoice, the time reads 00:00am and the type of call reads "0". Like those aren't enough red flags.
- SallyReceived a bill from Knology Holdings for $8.27 - 15 minute call to a Brentwood NJ number. We have Knology cable that includes free long distance anywhere in the US. I tried to call the 800 number, left a message but have not had a call back. Our Knology cable account is in my name. This bill came in my husband's name.
Will forward the bill to Knology Cable and ask them what's going on. - EricMy company received 3 bills totaling over $7,000 from this company. I called and questioned the bills and they simply said to disregard the invoices. They didn't even question if the calls were legitimate or challenge me in any way. They new the calls were fake. THIS IS A SCAM . . . DO NOT PAY THESE INVOICES.
- Isa| 3 repliesI received a Sprint, Jacksonville invoice today over $ 14.50 for two local phone calls, which should have been included in my local telephone bill via CenturyLink, formerly Embarq. When I looked up the telephone number for billing inquiries on the internet, I found this website. Is this a scam from somebody?? They are also threatening if you don't pay this invoice, the open amounts due may be referred to a collection agency if not paid! The invoice doesn't even have a due date, and the calls were from November 2009. Invoice was received today, Jan. 3, 2010. Does anybody have any idea what to do?
Thanks - SusieQ replies to Isa| 2 repliesI received my 3rd invoice from this company today in the amount of $49.10 for 6 calls that are local calls for me also. One of these calls was in October and the others in December. What do I plan to do with it? Absolutely NOTHING!! WHY? When I received the 1st one 10-1-2009 I called the 800 number on bill and talked with a Stephanie (?). Asked her what going on since I prepay minutes on my regular Embarq bill and these should have been on my long distance or whatever bill with Embarq. She said that Embarq having problems on the dates in AUGUST, 2009 these calls made and Sprint's lines were used for the 2 calls so that was why they were billing me for $12.45 for 9 minutes. I questioned the high charges and she immediately dropped the charges that I owed them to $4.85 and proceeded to tell me to call Embarq and tell them to credit me that amount because I was paying it to them. I got off phone with her, called Sprint number from their website and talked to Buster. Told him the story and that I thought it was a scam and it should be checked out. He was agreeing with me until I gave him the 800 number that I talked to Stephanie on and he called it supposedly, and then he came back on line and said it was a legitimate Sprint number. He told me to talk to Embarq. Well, I had already talked to Embarq and they had no idea what going on so that was why I was calling Sprint, because that was what Embarq told me to do. I just got off the phone put the bill on my refrigerator and waited for a corrected bill for the $4.85 Stephanie said I owed. Well it never arrived. In November, got another bill from them for $15.10 for calls made in September. These different from the ones that totaled $4.85. At this point, since receiving the 3rd bill today, I am more than ever convinced that Sprint (if they are Sprint,) the logo on the bill the feather looking thing is black. Check Sprint's website. This feather is yellow so I think someone is grabbing these calls and trying to intimidate people by putting the collection agency info on the bill. It actually reads "amounts due MAY be referred to a collection agency if not paid." Well this 3rd bill is going where the other 2 are, side of my refrigerator. I do not intend to pay them nor have I contacted these people again. I think this web site is letting people know this is most likely a scam. If I hear from the collection agency, I will try to remember to post on this sight. I really get perturbed when people threaten me with collection agencies when I have always paid my legitimate bills on time and have an excellent credit rating. So if you feel you are being scammed, you probably are. As I said above, even Buster at Sprint was agreeing with me until he talked to someone. So does he really work for Sprint? I got the number from their website but who really knows. I wanted to share my experience. You will have to make the decision yourself whether or not you are going to pay these scammers or whatever they are. I don't plan to do so. Hope this helps a little. Good Luck.
