Just got a call from a guy who said I had won a price in the "Cool Car Cold Cash Giveaway."  Said to call Eddie at 800-355-5587.  *69 just said the incoming call was private.  Guy on the end of the phone had a strange mid-Atlantic working class accent.  Told me to call Eddie at the number above and then said "Congratulations."  Googled both terms and this is all that came up.  Not going to follow through.

We just received the exact same message and my husband called, just out of curiousity. It's to get you to go to a timeshare presentationl of about 90 minutes, to be held at a location near you. They "say" that you're "guaranteed" to win one of 4 prizes: 1st prize = a Lincoln Navigator worth $45K; 2nd prize = Bahamas Vacation; 3rd prize = $2,500; 4th prize = 32" Toshiba TV.

We went to one of these timeshare presentations about 3 years ago (at the same location) that had 4 prizes of about equal values, 'cause we had nothing better to do that weekend. We never got any prize, but did get a free lunch voucher which we used immediately, so that was good.

I just got the same line of crap saying I won something. Called back and left message with "Eddie". I never ever win anything and doubt that is more than bogus call.

So what state is everyone in that is getting these bogus called from 800-355-5587? I am in FL.

Eddie left the same message on my recorder saying I had filled out an entry from about a year - year & ½ ago for the Cool Car Cold Cash Giveaway. I'm in Florida. He didn't sound very professional just shady.

I also got a call from the same phone number (800-355-5587) from the same guy (Eddie).  Eddie sent me a confirmation email when I told him that I would show up to listen to a 90 minute presentation.  I should have known something was wrong when the email address was from AOL (Eddie's email is eddcccc@aol.com), but the company name was "Global Network" in the email, and when I showed up at the location, the company was "Global Travel Network".  I listened to the 90 minute presentation. The people there wanted me to hand over $9,900 to them for a life time memebership to their travel club. To make a long story short, when I told them that I wanted to wait until I could do some research on their club, one of the guys became very very rude and told me to leave, and I walked out with nothing but lost time.
So, you were very wise for not showing up to claim something free.  These people should be investigated.

Eddie at the same number called my office in Maine on June 4.  I'd like a cool car or some cold cash, but oh, well.

"Eddie Portland" "calling from Edgecomb" left a message saying I had won in the "cool car cold cash giveaway.  Caller ID was unknown name and number.  Funny thing is,  "Portland" and "Edgecomb" are towns in Maine somewhat near me  - maybe this was the "set caller at ease" phase of his evil genius master plan (mwah hah hah).
If it sounds too good to be true ... it is.  
If they can't tell you what they are selling up front . . . it aint worth buying.

"Deanna" was the name on my machine.  Claimed she was from the Awards center in Edgecomb.  She also left a message saying I had won in the cool car cold cash giveaway.  I did not call back.  Good to find other warnings from this number.

recieved a call from awards center of Edgecomb, said that i had won the cool car cold cash giveaway. I needed to call Tonya Brown at 1-800-460-6750 to claim my prize. This is a SCAM .......

I live in Maine. Got the same message as described by others on my answering machine today (8/7/09) from Eddie "here in Edgecomb" at the Awards Claim Center saying I'd won the Cool Car Cold Cash Giveaway from an entry I made about a year ago.  Also requested that I call back same day. I agree with other comments above that the man did NOT sound professional.

Then the next message on my machine was that my husband had won.... they sure are giving out a lot of prizes - Ha!  Don't bother calling.

Mark Young...calling about entry in Cool Car Cold Cash Giveaway...entry made last year he says...voice mails says he is at the Awards Claims Center and tells you to have a "blessed day"....number calling in is Private but callback number is this one.

The message was left on my home answering machine. It was Yolanda Atkins telling me I was a winner in the Cool Car Cold Cash Giveaway. She said she was from the Edgecomb Awards Claim Center. Told me to call this number by 9am today. I won't be calling back, needless to day.

Received a voice mail 8/26/09 from Mark Young calling about entry in Cool Car Cold Cash Giveaway...entry made last year he says...voice mails says he is at the Awards Claims Center and tells you to have a "blessed day" Had to call by 9 PM.  Called back out of speculation - just voice mail.  I never remembered the filling out of any entry for this.....

(do not remember doing so).. Call 1-800-460-6750  I thought it strange that just my first initial was mentioned (as it appears in the phone directory) and not my first name..I always fill out entries with my first name....checked this out on internet..glad I see all of the other comments...

I also live in maine, and received the tonia call (18004606750) about the cool cars cold cash thing, and fell for it at first.  Was guaranteed (as one of four finalists) to receive a lincoln navigator (or 45K), a florida vacation, 2.5K or a 32" flatscreen tv.  An edgecomg timeshare is behind this, and they schedule you for a 90 min. Presentation--no purchase necessary, will leave that day with prize.  Too good to be true?  I'm sposed to go tommorrow.  Pretty much decided not too!
