It seems like a scam to me. When I called and asked questions I was put on hold and it immediately went busy. What's that all about?

I am replying to your text message you got. Today I got the same exact thing - I called the number given and it was answered by a guy saying he was a "National repo center". I asked why I got this message and was given an excuse that somebody else "sold" my info and they didn't have anything to do with it - but yet they benefit from it, so how can they not have anything to do with it. Personally I think that I have a right to know who sold my info to this place considering I had to pay to receive the message.I intend on filing a complaint with the FTC.

Im quite sure it is illegal for companies to blast out advertisements.

When people subscribe to get such messages they are sent a PIN code to accept such messages.

me too.  same text.  I have sprint cell phone.  I never give this number out for anything. AND whenever I do sign up for ANYthing, I always click not to share my information.

I got the same message which included a web address... the web address is:  www.CarDealsUSA.com
The message came from a 77893 number... odd!!!  I replied with the word STOP, it better work... I dont think that they have any right to advertise through text!!!  Thats BS!

I just got done filing a complaint to the FTC... I would suggest doing the same thing... then maybe it will stop!!!

Don't know how somebody can say that the call came from 1-800-362-0182?

I called AT&T and they are blocking the number from my account.
