Received call on my cell phone informing me that my VISA card was restricted to shopping and I should call 800-391-8627 to clear it up. I never gave the VISA card (which is my debt card) people my cell phone. So I didn't give them any info. My husband received the same call the day before on his cell and when he punched #1 like it said he had to punch it several times and then the person or automated system wanted him to enter his debt card number. He hung up. Scam if I ever saw one.

I just got this call. Same deal. Said my debit card had been restricted for shopping. I tried to call the number back and it said it was out of service. Total scam.

I just got the same call and reported it to my bank. It said the same thing that my visa debit card was restricted but I knew it was a sham because my debit card is not Visa. Can we report this to anyone? I also hit 1 to be connected and the only option was to get the card unrestricted. I hung up before it asked for any information. I really would like to get them shut down because I could just imagine someone's grandparents getting upset and trying to fix their debit card and getting scammmed...

Just got a call from a number that has too many digits (35924896782), told me to call 1-800-391-8627 because my Mastercard has been restricted from purchases.

Just got this same call-- originated from 847-336-6111, told me to press 1 or dial 800-391-8627.  Very suspicious.  I reported it to my credit union immediately.

I received a call on my cell phone today.  Caller ID showed 201.  I was suspicious because it was a recording and did not say my bank's name, just that my debit card had been restricted for shopping.  I wrote down the 800-391-8627, and when I called it rang once and then a message said the number is not in service.

Same call on my cell. I hung up. What really annoys me is these calls on my cell phone, using "MY" minutes for "THEIR" scam!!! I am sick and tired of these low lifes!!

got call from unknown number, let voice mail get it and on voice mail it said something about security department and gave me this number 18003918627 or push 1 for transfer. felt suspicious so looked up number and found this. THERE IS SOME SORRY PLP IN THIS WORLD

I got a call from this number also.  it came in as: +38580752201 the automated  recording told me there was a security problem and i should call the 800-391-8627.  I called it back and the number was out of service.  I Googled the number and this posting was the first to come up.  Thank you all for the info, i agree this is such a scam.

Received a call on my cell phone, but did not answer.  Partial voice mail message said to call 1-800-391-8627, security department.  I googled this number and it brought me to this link.  It sounds like a scary scam and I hope no one falls for this.

Got the same cut off security message today. Amazing that this hasn't been turned off yet. Time to visit the fcc site.

Rec'd call   and I have been using my card a lot they asked information I got suspicous and told cr card company to stop all action on card
and then I called back to another number 316 685 8100 and they said it was a fraud call and that they were getting a lot of calls.

same as the other complaints about the security of my visa. I have never given out my cell number to Visa & the call came on my cell phone

I also just got a call from 843-884-6884 and they wanted me to call 800-391-8627. TOTAL SCAM Hang up and call your financial institution to report this call. My credit union was glad I called them and told me not to call that number back.

Call from 1-800-391-8627, same as others where my VISA debit (don't have one) card was restricted.  Tried to call back, and fax beep.  Scam!

I just received a phone call from 307 which I found strange that only a 3 digit number came through. The message informed me my debit card has been restricted due to someone attempting to use it and to call (800)391-8627 to get connected to the “Security Department” or press 1 to get connected now. The message informed me that my card won’t work until I contact them.

Called the Credit Union directly and I'm the 3rd person this morning reporting the same scam. I tried calling the # and get the fax noise. Scam!!!
