Dan - 20 May 2008His name is Rich Wilcox and supposedly he has been doing this for 14 yrs...what a sleaze ball. I would love to pull together a class action against these guys. Horrible unprofessional tactics!!

Stanley Weinberg & Associates is NOT a law firm, it is a collection agency, where FDCPA complaints abound. Earl & Lilliana Shields are known to let their collectors get way out of hands as my complaints on them are always high. The good news for consumers is they are like the big dog who barks a lot, they make a lot of noise, however they are ill equipped to do much beyond loud, annoying ranting and raving. These are excellent folks to counter-collect from (they pay you!) because they still have deep pockets, so tape their calls (where legal). NEVER give them your banking or credit card information and make them validate each and every claim.
This agency I predict may not survive the down turn in collections; they like the over the top yelling, screaming, making threats, intimidation, harassment, etc. I predict they can be sued into obscurity, so take advantage of that.

dee - 19 Jun 2008These guys are really starting to piss me off...and the kicker is I don't even believe that this has anything at all to do with me since I am up to date and current on all of my bills. I believe it is for my husband which I am in the process of divorcing. They always call me while I am at work. Duh...I work for a living....why would I be home?? Then when you cal them back...hold, hold, hold only to get an automated recording.These guys are a trip and totally annoying. Harassment is what I call this mess.

Funny thing is the company they are trying to collect for admits that there is a billing error and states they have pulled this back since it was their fault, but this collection (harrassment) agency refuses to look over the information they have received from the company.

Trina42 - 29 Oct 2007I get calls every night after 8:00pm, they are always leaving threatening messages on my home phone and cell phone numbers. I just do not pick-up the phone, I let it go to voice mail. I have no debt with no one, my credit is perfect, but they need to stop, this is getting to be a bothersome when you are in your bed at night sleeping and the phone rings.

LPS721 - 10 Jul 2008I got a call from then at work. When I answered they hung up. I guess they like to leave messages. Anyway, I called them back and some jerk answered the phone. I told him someone called from that number and he asked for my number to find out why. He puts me on hold for a bit and then comes back on saying he couldn't find anything and there were like 100 people that worked there. So I ask what the company was and he says it's like accounts/receiving (something like that) and then I start asking what they do and why do they call people. Then he gets this attitude with me saying he didn't have time for this and that he's at work right now. I was so pissed off! So I tell him, I'm at work too. You're an AS*! And he says, Yea? So's your mother! Then he hangs up. Hahahah! I can't believe it. I have no clue how they got my cell phone number. Bunch of jerks!
